Is amphetamine tolerance permanent?

I used to take 10mg adderal twice a day. I did this probably for about 3 months. I stopped about 6 months ago, because I couldn't afford to buy them from my friend anymore. Recently I was able to score my own Rx but they are only 5mg. Will they not have an effect on me because I've raised my tolerance?

They'll have an effect on you, if you haven't taken adderall or other amphetamines in 6 months your tolerance would have dropped a LOT, but probably not to the point where it was before you ever did adderall in the first place.

Amphetamine tolerance isn't permanent, but it last a long long time.
