TOO MANY HOES IN MY MOTHAFUCKING MEAL
for 2 years i thought i suffered from visual snow. but now i'm not even really sure about it.

when it's day , i can see quite good, and i don't notice the static unless i concentrate on it. it's very subtle, even looking at a white wall i see it white, there's just this fine static but like i said it's very subtle, it doesn't impair my vision at all.
even now i'm at school and i'm sitting at the back of the classroom and have no trouble reading on the blackboard.
actually when it's really bright outside it's hard to notice it even if i look for it.

at night my vision is "grainy" but not really like you see in VS pictures, and i can never see pitch black, but have no problem sleeping because
i'm quite positive i've seen like this since i was born (of course my vision has worsened) and it's how i normally see, but i noticed it only when reading about VS online.

i'm a bit of an hypocondriac, so could it be that this "noise" i see is completely normal and i'm just focusing on it and worrying about nothing?

So as I understand OP you're vision is blurry at night? I am not sure if you have heard or read about Nyctalopia (night blindness) but I will post a link for you:

To be sure, if I were you, I would get it checked up just to eliminate your stress and hypochondria. After all it is better to have a reassurance that you don't have an underlying health problem.

I have this static too. You really have to look for it to see it. I think most people have it.
It has nothing to do with blurry vision.
It's like millions of extremely tiny white and black dots. Is that what you experience OP?

AFAIK most people have this, but whether or not it impacts them depends on how much they notice it and filter it out. Compare it to someone who is disturbed by noisy environments and can filter sound vs. someone who is hypervigilant and is bothered by everything. The visual snow works in a similar way.

I have experienced this for as long as I can remember, and it has remained unaffected by psychedelics (in fact, it abates while tripping on a 5ht2a agonist).

yes, exactly.
it's so subtle it's kinda hard to describe, and to notice too. even with dim lights

so i guess my vision is normal, that's a great relief
thanks guys <3
