Is 500mg too much morphine for the first time?

I came across a 500mg pill of morphine. 100 percent sure it's morphine, and absolutely sure its 500mg. I was wondering if anyone knew if I would still be able to function in front of authority, and nobody can know I'm high. I was unsure where to put this topic, and I don't think this is an ecstatic drug. My buddy took one and was very, very drowsy from it. Slept through everything. I don't want to be sleepy, doe. Should I pull apart the pilll and maybe only take half?
 
Take less than 1/4. You don't want to be going above 100mgs of morphine for your first dose. 500mgs would have me retarded, and I have a moderate-high tolerance to opiates.
 
500mg morphine is way too much for a first time user.

umm wow. first of all, i dont think they make a 500 mg morphine pill. Morphine is pretty strong stuff - about half that of oxycodone. Now if one were taking oxycodone with no opiate tolerance for the first time, I wouldnt recommend taking over 25 mg for them. That being said given the half strength to oxy, I would not reccomend taking over 50 mg of morphine for the first time. However, morphine when eaten or snorted is not absorbed well, so therefore there is room to do some more safely. I seriously would not reccomend going over 100 mg of morphine if you are not tolerant to opiates. If it really is morphine and you dont have a tolerance, Im not sure you really should even take a quarter of that
 
^ this, i've never heard of a 500mg morphine pill, I can't think of modern medical use for it.
 
Morphine is sold in at most 200mg extended release pills, which look like this:

A first time opiate user should not take more than 60 mg of morphine... Also don't use alcohol or other sedatives like benzos with opiates.

Sounds a little trolly. :) 500 mg is defiantly not safe for a first time opiate user. A first time opiate user could conceivably get good effects from just 5-10 mg.
 
I was feeling sedated of 25mgs my 1st time............500mgs have have put me 6 feet under.............no way can a opiate naive user do 500mgs their first time, no way! Also, like the person mentioned above, dont think they make a 500mg Morphine pill.
 
500 mg morphine pills are not in production. I suspect you are a troll, but if not check your pill's imprints on an online pill id, find out what/how much it really is, and then consider how much to take. 500 mg of morphine would kill an opiate-naive individual, I'd think. If it is morphine, start with an oral dose of 15 mg. If it is extended-release morphine, you are okay to go up to 30 mg.
 
is the pills weight 500mg by chance? The morphine content would not be 500mg.
 
Hah. Yeah, there aren't any 500mg morphine pills, and even if there were, that is way too much for your first time. 30mg max for someone opioid naive...
