More specifically, would it be safe for me to go to sleep on 160mg codeine, 1500-2000ml 5.0% alcohol beer, 1mg etizolam, and 1mg phenazepam? I am concerned because I took a nap about three hours ago when I was on 120mg codeine and 500ml beer and had a kind of scary experience when asleep; I was in a sleep paralysis-like state and forced myself awake, only to find that my breathing was quite shallow and my arm was a little numb (maybe because I was sleeping on it). Maybe it was just normal sleep paralysis and I am paranoid. Additionally I felt a sharp pain in my kidney while in sleep paralysis that carried over to when I was awake...don't know what that was about?? Anyway, will I be ok or should I stay awake a few hours longer than normal?

Thanks for your help.

How long ago did you consume each thing and what is your usual tolerance to each? (like how much would you take if you were taking each one on its own?) I would be concerned if I were you too, given that you took a dangerous combo, but it's hard to know how risky exactly without the answers to the above questions. You are able to type coherently which is a good sign..

I have basically no tolerance to any of the substances. I consumed 80mg codeine about six hours ago, 40mg more 2 hours ago, and 40mg more when I wrote the post. I took the benzos about two hours ago. I am drinking another beer right now :(. I will stop at this point. However, should I be worried about going to sleep in two hours?

I think I am going to brave my bed in the next 15 minutes or so unless someone has objections, in which case I'll drink a cup of coffee or something.

I'm fine, thank you! I think I'll keep codeine out of the mix because my experience during the nap on relatively low doses of codeine and alcohol was highly unsettling (unless it was just sleep paralysis and I am being a hypochondriac).
