I can't find this stuff anywhere, and websites promoting Tranquili-g (4-pentanolide) proudly claim that their product is perfectly legal since it contains no BDO, 2-OH, or GBL.
If BDO was scheduled recently, could someone please tell me so I will stop wasting my time. Also, has anyone tried this Tranquili-g stuff? How does it compare with BDO?

i don't think BDO is illegal...guess it depends where ya live. i have ordered BDO before from legit suppliers. i think it is legal to possess but illegal to consume. don't quote me on that i'm just assuming, you know kinda like N2O, legal to have but illegal to inhale...

From Erowid
1,4-Butanediol is not scheduled in the United States though we believe that it may now be scheduled in some states. It is not approved by the FDA for human consumption which generally means that possession is federally legal while sale for human consumption may specifically be illegal. It is possible that possession and sales could be prosecuted under the Federal Analog Act (as an analog of GHB) though we are unaware of any such existing cases.

Ummmm that would be a yes.
“On Friday Feb 18, 2000, President Clinton signed the 'Hillory J. Farias and Samantha Reid
Date-Rape Drug Prohibition Act of 2000'. According to the text of the Act, the Attorney General
of the United States is ordered to add GHB to the list of schedule I substances within 60 days
of the passage of the act. The Attorney General performed this final step in mid-March”.
Yeah, yeah... "that's for GHB though!"...
If we recall the following little addition to US drug law and add 2+2.......
SEC 203. A controlled substance analogue shall, to the extent intended for human consumption, be treated, for the purposes of this title [Title I; "Enforcement"] and title III ["Interdiction"] as a controlled substance in schedule I."
"(32)(A) Except as provided in subparagraph (B), the term `controlled substance analogue' means a substance ---
"(i) the chemical structure of which is substantially similar to the chemical structure of a controlled substance in schedule I or II;
"(ii) which has a stimulant, depressant, or hallucinogenic effect on the central nervous system that is substantially similar to or greater than the stimulent, [sic] depressant, or hallucinogenic effect on the central nervous system of a controlled substance in schedule I or II;
"(iii) with respect to a particular person, which such person represents or intends to have a stimulant, depressant, or hallucinogenic effect on the central nervous system that is substantially similar to or greater than the stimulant, depressant, or hallucinogenic effect on the central nervous system of a controlled substance in schedule I or II.

i was reading through these postings, and i'm wondering if someone could just let me know the basics of what bdo, and Tranquili-g are. thanks.

1,4-butanediol is a chemical which is converted by the alcohol dehydrogenase enzymes in your liver to GHB. It's widely used as an industrial chemical, so it's not legal to possess. If you have any intention of consuming it or selling it for consumption however, it becomes illegal under the analogue act. Anecdotal evidence suggests that this stuff is kinda toxic.
Tranquili-G contains GVL (gamma-valerolactone). It is converted by the lactonase enzymes in the blood to GHV (gamma-valerolactone, 4-methyl-GHB). This stuff is said to not be as fun as GHB, and it's pretty damned expensive too.

As far as i know no one has been prosecuted under the analog laws(in aus anyway),but yeah its illegal so shut the fuck up and stop informing fools

I never do pay much mind to the legality of the drugs I do.

However, I will tell you that I live in NJ and I couldn't find any company to ship 1,4 to anywhere in NY or NJ, however, they would ship to Rhode Island... and luckily for me, I have a friend in RI!
