Cocaine Involuntary hand movements

I want to ask about a certain side effect I experience nearly every time I use cocaine.

In my right hand I get involuntary movements in mainly my pinky. Let me explain. My pinky gets a mind of it’s own so to speak. It has a strong urge/tendency to move outward. It feels as if it reflexes or something. For example, if I am setting my drink down on the table when I pull my hand away my pinky darts outward autonomicaly. Sort of like my pinky thinks we are drinking tea! Weird thing is, it only occurs in my right hand.

I must add that I have never abused it and each time I’ve used cocaine it’s been in relatively low amounts.

Now while these side effects do not exactly surprise me whatsoever given the small amount of knowledge I have, I am very curious as to what everyone’s opinion and experience is.

My guess would be that you get fairly dehydrated which throws your electrolytes off kilter. Sounds symptomatic of low magnesium/potassium. The technical term is fasciculation, you can google it and see if it sounds like what you experience.

I'm a little confused what you mean by "never abused it?"

Cocaine has a distinct stimulatory effect on motor neurons, so the side effects you're describing are definitely within the bounds of what would be considered normal.
