Most of you have probeably read about a few heterosexual men who went on a rampage because women invariable rejected them, e.g. Elliot Rodgers and George Sodini.

Here in the USA, and to some extent other Western countries, people believe in the Sexual Stoicism Ethic; i.e. one is expected to never complain about dry spells. Anyone man who even mentions the fact that sexual deprivation does exist is automatically ostracised -- or at least is presumed to be unstable oo or even evil and in the same catagory as rapists and sexual psychopaths.

Until 1989 when AIDS became a threat to the general population, I handled it by cavorting with prostitutes. And sometimes I'd go somewhere else in the world where there were affordable prostitutes. If euthanasia were available here, as it now is in the Netherlands, I would have chosen to live a short life of relative contentment instead of a long life of wishing I were dead.

On New Years Day, in one of those countries I asked someone on the street where a certain brothel was; and he said, "What's this? Do you want to get AIDS?" From then on until I took Androcur (an anti-androgen that reduces testosterone), hardly a day passed without wishing I were dead. Like a lot of others that you now see on some of the Incel forums I was mysoginistic and bemoaned the fact that there was no way to get myself a comfortable death.

After taking Androcur, at last a rejection by a woman no longer raised hell with my self-esteem. At long hast I was able to keep my mind off of women and sex and enjoy the other things that life has to offer.

Now I have a girlfriend who can't get enough of me. But my get-up has got up and gone. And the extraordinary level of health has gone also; instead of being able to climb three-story hells, one after another, and still have lots of energy, I'm somewhat listless like most men in their seventies. Do I regret having taken that Androcur? Hell no! I'm glad to be the way I am now, instead of living the long life of wanting to die!

I am not familiar with that drug. You've been through a lot it seems. I have to take thyroxine hormone the rest of my life, or I could die. No thyroid gland, so I understand on some levels, but nothing like what you've been through. When I wanted to die life every day seemed like it lasted forever.
Congrats on making a decision that might improve your overall well being despite some of the physical consequences.

If these people aren't doing anything to improve themselves, they are voluntarily celibate. They probably just suck and are too weak to fix it. Darwinism.

And no offense but you sound strange as fuck. Why would a man reduce his testosterone intentionally? Are you trying to become emotional/sensitive like a woman or something? You must be in hell. Start the journey out by STOP TAKING THAT SHIT for starters.

Are you actually in your 70's? Do you think the strength/stamina thing is a result of the drug or could it be age-related. I know I got a bit slack on my exercise regimen and when I started again everything was MUCH harder... :D I mean more difficult... :D Sorry...

Have you asked your doctor for something to boost testosterone? There are patches you can wear that are unobtrusive. It may be worth doing what you can to undo the effects of the Androcur so your lady stays around. While Androcur was a good solution for that stage of your life, the effects might now prevent you from changing to a new life that might be what you sought all those years.

All the best; I hope you find a way through this.

Cmon, you guys fall for the SLR trolls WAY too easily. I mean seriously what person is going to start taking an anti-testosterone drug because a stranger scared them into thinking they're going to catch AIDS?

Thank you Smoky for understanding me. And thank you Journeyman-a also.

As I said in the first post, I'm now thankful for the serenity I now enjoy. I hope that the FDA will change its regulations and permit Androcur (generic name cyproterone acetate) to be prescribed, as it now is permitted in Canada and most of Europe. As you know, the commonly-prescribed neuroleptics like wellbbutrin, calexa, prozac, and effexor are not exactly harmless. But Androcur wasn't developed in he same way. It's hormone-related instead of being neurotransmitter-related.

Did Elliot Rodgers and George Sodini know that there is such a thing as Androcur and other ani-androgens?

It could be age-related. According to the articles on Androcur, one's libido and stamina return after discontinuing it.

The pain caused by AIDS, the ostracism, and the unavailability of euthanasia was a powerful deterrent. If euthanasia were available then as it later was in the Netherlands, I would not have been deterred; I would have kept on cavorting with prostitutes and could have nonchalantly said "Que sera sera"
