Internet meet-up stories.

I am yes. Managed to not booze all night but still rather lost track of time. My sleeping pattern's been a bit wonky this week but am tired and have a visit/meeting with my new support worker tomorrow so need to be up at some point. Suspect Brimz may be up for a while longer yet if you're short of company - suspect he'll be up for quite a while longer in fact :D

Raves at the dutty duck in brizzle have been good place to meet up, lakota tribe of frog was good back in the day before they got cracked down on. psytrance is shite though, but with enough psyches it's bearable. everyone's messy on K/analogues/md/pills and trips at some clubs on popular nights so us bluelighters wouldn't be out of place, deciding on exact dates should be done by PM, we should have a mega meetup this summer, maybe a meet at 'bris' 'uk' or 'french' teks depending on how dedicated you are, those three are kinda listed in diffuculty of atending, bristek googleable in club, uktek is illegals and last minute find out venue. frenchtek is every year place known in advance but france, known place, single 'allowed' tek for europe. oh drugz make it hard to ype,.

At all the meets I attended there a few years back it was pure eye-candy from floor to ceiling. Day-glo "trippy shit" as far as the eye could see. I imagine they do it up a bit when they're having "one of those" nights ;)

Security was never that bad - they didn't even bother taking stuff of you if it was only personal amounts of speed, MDMA or weed. Nangs they jumped on from a great height but only cos they had stalls selling balloons. Last one I went to security was a bit tighter and have heard it's much stricter now. Was fun at the time though =D
 
One time i went there, someone had left an expensive sports car outside with the drivers door open and the keys in the ignition. Even in the Eed up state we were in we all just walked on by. I fear if id had consumed benzos i might have taken it for a spin, with no doubt disasterous consequences. I still wonder what the story was there and what had gone on, but it was truly bizzare.

what are nangs ?

IIRC (not sure if i do) there was a drug related death there one night. They probably had to 'do something' about 'security' or in other words searching people for drugs after that.
 
The mention of nos makes me miss it. i used to love that stuff. doubles and trippes ontop booze and meph would absolutely beautifully blast me
 
Met up with this kid once after chatting online, turned out we both lived within walking distance of eachother. It was awkward as fuck though

I've met people from BL and another site I used to frequent. That site is all but dead now, but I made one of my best friends there thirteen years ago and we're still close, though don't see each other much as she's down at the other end of the country. I also met three other guys from there; two were boyfriends of my mate and one was just a poster with no real connections to anyone but he was in town and was a really really nice guy. Took him on a tour of York and on a drinking tour of Hull.

I also met some random that a former poster here who I knew IRL picked up on another forum. He consistently got drunk, made a cunt of himself, and was a general arsehole. We no longer speak.

BL-wise, my memory is terrible but I know I met some at the West Indian Centre around 2009, and another lot at an LTJ Bukem gig back in 2005. All cool people. I won't name names because half of them I don't recall and some of them I hooked up with

I have also had my share of other non BL internet hookups - either through the now dead site, or through friends going 'hey this is my internet friend!' and ending up banging them. They have, hilariously, turned out to be the most successful sexual experiences of my life
