International DJ'z/Acts that absolutely Sucked, made fools of themselves etc

I know this probably doesn't count, but Friendly at Big Day Out absolutely SUCKED ASS. I was disappointed... i never really thought much of Friendly until I saw them play a brilliant few tracks at Astrofunk (i must have left just in time).. but at BDO they kept playing that stupid fucking air raid siren over their tracks YUUUUUUCK! We're not in America guys!!!
oops.. just realised this was meant for Internationals.. oh well.. they still sucked.
 
apparently its close to 500 bux or so for a couple of hours all up over 4 weeks i think.
haha, 1 week to learn how to hook up dex to a mixer.. LOL LOL LOL LOL,
um fuk, how do u insert a plug into a whole??

I have an idea; perhaps Will-E-Tell and Midro can come together and bring us a MEGASTAR DJ discounted package. That is, you do the "plug-goes-in,plug-goes-out" course, and then at the end of it, Midro gets to watch you in action and if he likes what he sees, he'll give you a certificate saying that you got what it takes. And instead of paying $600 seperately, together you get it for $595. BARGAIN!!

I was disappointed at Laurent Garnier's performance at Hardware 17. His music seemed sooo slow compared to everyone else I saw that night. But then, perhaps Cari Lekebusch spoilt me.

I'm afraid the microphone instructions are a different course all in itself. He'd be asking at least another few hundred for that priviledge. PS. I heard it also comes with free Houseboat driving instructions.

A few years back, when Judge Jules came to Bris for the first time, we went to Viva (cringes at the thought) to catch his set. He was sooooooooooooooooooooooooo chopped that he could hardly play. The pitch kept changing (in a very bad way) and made dancing extremely hard. I gave up after about 1 minute. In a way tho, it was quite sad, yet, amusing...we spent the whole time pissing ourselves laughing at him. He didn't even finish his set and had to be helped off stage...bwahahahahahhaha...still crack up when i think about it.
but, er, yeah, it would get my vote for high suckage factor.

Didn't like Robert Miles at Voodoo 4th birthday, neither did the rest of the crowd unless standing still for 2 hours is normal.
All these guys peaking were just looking round with confused looks on their faces, like, something was wrong but they couldn't figure it out.
I've never heard a live set so unlike the material from an artist's albums. Thumbs up to voodoo for trying something different though.
But after that when the residents came on....Kaboom!
 
robert miles did not suck... its just that from the same old banging hard house thats played (145bpm) he dropped it down to about 136bpm and the mainly uneducated crowd that make their way down to sublime every friday night couldnt handle it. (you'd think they might stop to listen to something that isnt sandstorm for a second hey?)
he should have played first... he played some WICKED breaks and psytrance and the glowsticks kids couldnt understand it.
paul van dyk sucked. why? he cant mix, simple. and the mixes he did do were 16 bar mix fudges. pathetic. not to mention out at least 20% of the time. not to mention that EVERY TRACK SOUNDED THE SAME. maybe i just dont dig the "for an angel" sound anymore.
dmitri was full of cheese, and mixing was average. (but im sure the pretty girls loved it!) give me farina anytime.

I saw him a few years ago at the first 'War of the Worlds' party at Altona and he was awesome.
Saw him a couple of months ago at the Palace - I found him incredibly boring, except for the last 20 minutes or so. He just kept mixing the same minimal-type techno over and over - no builds whatsoever.

Robert Miles in Perth - I have never seen a dance floor stand so still for an international DJ then raise the roof for a resident DJ immediately after.
He didn't play Children (OK fair enuf, I'm not complaining) but, as he was standing at the bar having a drink after his set, Charlie Ash played another DJ's mix of the song.
Funny sight - Robert Miles slamming his drink down and leaving in a huff.
 
Although I was looking forward to Oliver lieb playing his old trance stuff (which he didn't), he still rocked at palace. I don't care what you say Dan, even though he isn't as good as you are (he doesn't play at yaki) hehehehhehehe he still rocked.
