Interesting Methylone Question

I have been experimenting with Methylone for the second time in my life recently, and I am getting more and more familiar with it the more I use it. I have started to notice a phenomenon that occurs a day or two after its use that is extremely interesting, and I am wondering if anyone else has ever experienced it themselves.

This is especially relevant after higher doses are taken throughout a night (300-500+mgs). Say I stay up all night and fall asleep sometime the next morning. Then, I'll get up during the day, take some 5-HTP after a meal as well as my Suboxone, as I am a recovering Heroin addict, and then, I'll sleep some the next night.

Before I go to sleep, I'll have a recurrence of the Methylone's effects. I get into the same head-space, things appear somewhat different visually, and I can still feel the empathy. This part has always been an aspect of Methylone for me.

On the second day from being clean from Methylone, I'll lower my 5-HTP dosage, and I'll also take my Suboxone. However, something very interesting happens on this day. I start to have an abnormally comfortable head-space, as well as a pleasant body feeling. It usually brings on an hour long nap, in which I do not actually fall completely asleep. However, I have these dreams that are so surreal, there are times where I question whether they are really happening due to the auditory hallucinations and visual realism. It is very beautiful.

The dreams can consist of pretty much anything. I have had disturbing and nightmare type dreams, and I have had very beautiful dreams that can sometimes be erotic in nature. I'm trying to figure out what causes this. Is there any interaction between Suboxone and Methylone that anyone is aware of?

I have experienced the super-real dreams during the naps a couple days after dosing mescaline in conjunction with dextromethorphan.

Scared the shit out of me the first time it happened. So, so real...

In my experiments with methylone, I did note that it seemed to stay in my system for a long time at a subthreshold level. I remember taking some once, and then many hours after I thought I was back to baseline, took some 4-aco-dipt, and had a very strong reaction, much stronger than either chemical had ever hit me before...

Methylone may act like MDMA, in that one isomer of racemate methylone is removed from the body before the other...just as R-MDMA remains in the body much longer than S-MDMA does.

I am no scientist or anything but i would think the drugs supress your dreams very much. so much that when you stop then you get these very realistic dreams. I only say this because i assume before any of this you didnt remember your dreams, or your dreams were very short and nondetailed. Some people including me(when not smokin pot) have very long and detailed dreams everynight. More then one dream on most nights.
How were your dreams before any of this happened?

this may have no relation to your problem ... but when i was mixing effexor and 2ci, i would have really harsh flashbacks upon waking up in the morning about a week afterwards. i would be dreaming and wake up still 'dreaming' and stumble around bit, then be sucked back into sleep. would wake and fall back into dream about 4 or 5 times ... and the 'highs' that i experienced for the short 'waking' moments were stronger than anything i've ever felt! very very scary. i thought i was losing my mind.

reminded me of what you describe. i quit using 2ci and haven't had the problem since.

My dreams basically come and go naturally. I rarely remember them, but I have been having a decent amount of them due to ingesting Blue Lotus products and Passion Flower almost daily. However, I am certain that what I experienced was from the higher doses of Methylone or from an interaction between Methylone and Buprenorphine (Suboxone). 5-HTP may even have something to do with it, as I have noticed that 5-HTP regulates my sleep.

1-2 days after methylone I also have the "abnormally comfortable head-space, as well as a pleasant body feeling" you report.

As for surreal dreams/nightmares, I have exactly what "colors" describes above on SSRIs (google "SSRI nightmares") but never on methylone, though methylone does increase the amount of serotonin in your brain. The 5-HTP does the same (at least in theory.)

Methylone increases Serotonin somewhat, mostly Norepinephrine (neo-addrealine), then Dopamine, the Serotonin. MDMA basically ups all 3 about equally, which probably explains it unique "magic".

Some have been discussing very MDMA like effects combining it with MDAI (a pure-serotonin releaser) which makes total sense.

I would hazard a guess that the 5-HTP, increasing Serotoninn precursors might have combined with lingering effects of the M1 to re-trigger something. How much 5-HTP?

most opiate receptor agonists are known for causing strange and or vivid dreams. Morphine even derives its name from morpheus, the greek god of dreams. I'm curious if perhaps the M1 is somehow lowering your tolerance to this aspect of opiates during the specific time frame you mention. I have no idea if its correct or not, but interesting speculation.
