Misc Interested in Strattera/Atomoxetine

I have been taking Strattera for years. I want a more complex understanding of this drug. So I am looking for new information.

Although my semantic skill (and search engine skill) is poor, I have been doing some searches. Found repetitive discussion for its the lack of recreational use. It seems like it is hard for me to find interesting information on the internet at large. The most interesting thing I found included nicotine and Strattera in a study about drugs for the cognitive problems of schizophrenia. (Strattera was written off for schizophrenics, nicotine was a more interesting part of this study) I am also interested in comparisons of Strattera to other drugs I might know more about, like amphetamines, outliers of stimulants and ADHD treatment, Wellbutrin, Armodafinil, Guanfacine. Even comparisons to recreational experiences could be interesting or useful, if they exist.

What I gained from my bluelight searches is anecdotal, it does not seem like a positively reviewed substance, even when in a non-recreational context.

This seems to be the case.

Strattera has a unique mode of action because it primarily blocks the reuptake of norepinephrine, and norepinephrine only... it has low affinity for the other two monoamines typically associated with "rewarding" stimulants - dopamine and serotonin.

Really the closest drugs in terms of effect are things like the SNRIs and lower-dose DXM. But even then it's not a perfect comparison as those drugs have much broader actions.

The best reports I have heard are:
1. people using it as directed for ADD, and it works (in some individuals)
2. people abusing it for a pseudo-methylone/MDMA type body high, that not everyone enjoys.

Please don't take Strattera, it is pure poo.

AND, Let me tell you something, I was on Strattera, then went off it, and then thought about starting it again and read online how people said Strattera was bad. And I was like ah man, its not really bad.


But it is.

I have started Strattera again, and even smoking a cigarette is no fun. (and I have zero nicotine tolerance).

So, if Strattera can over power the effects from Nicotine in a cigarette (and I have zero nicotine tolerance), then really I don't know anymore.


But, Strattera is a great sleepaid (but of course, it lasts when you wake up).

Here's what happened:
- I took Strattera 60mg, went to bed.
- I woke up, and dedicated to smoke a cigarette. (and remember I have not smoked since like 2 years ago and I only smoked one pack in total in my life 2 years ago)
-> There was pretty much no enjoyment from the cigarette. I also felt like the nicotine was bad for meh. But thank god, nicotine got somewhere in my brain,
but still, the Strattera is over powering.

The Strattera effects you, like you are frozen, cold , no pleasure , locked up , etc.

Strattera makes life so bad man.


Strattera is like poo. I would radar eat my own poo than take Strattera.
If you said to me, I had to take Strattera for the rest of my life, then I would make a deal with you, I would say hey hey wait on here a minute, I will make ya a deal, every morning when I wake up I will take a poo and then eat it.

I would truly radar eat my own poo or ANYONE's poo.

You name it, cat poo,human poo,elephant poo, even rat poo.
I would eat any poo EVERY morning over than taking Strattera.

Strattera is like a, its like you know the story of god and adam and eve.
And god says not to take the apple, but they take the apple anyway,

well you could say Strattera is the everything bad when you take the apple and god finds out you took the apple. then god kicked you out of heaven. And I think that Strattera feels like that. or like, that story, and then how adam and eve felt being kicked out of heaven, that's like the feeling of Strattera.

One other thing:
- People who withdrawal from Opiods, withdrawl from Opiods cause people to have loads of Noradrenaline. (interesting )

Yeaaa!!! At long last. The effects of Strattera are starting to wear off now. I feel so much happier now.
DUDE, there's like so much pleasure things like books,games,etc I can do now

^^I do that same thing with different drugs where Ill hate them while on them, stop taking them, then somehow down the road i'll think "oh maybe that wasnt so bad" or "maybe itll be different now" only to wind up hating it again. Methylphenidate and Atomexetine are two in the group of "definitely not trying again even if somone paid me to".
