I'm tired of people saying "its bad for you" or "Its stupid" and then give alternatives to doing it. Show me the statistics that its bad for you. If you don't know what you're talking about. Don't say anything at all. You're just making yourself seem unintelligible. I don't plan to do it. I already think its stupid, and I think its not healthy. But for a research paper. I need to know the exact effects of it. If you know please answer these following questions.

1. Does it increase the effect and does it work faster?
2. What are the so called "Bad" effects from it? Brain damage, heart failure ect. (Note: as I said, if you don't have evidence. don't answer this question)
3. What are the long term effects if it is insufflated on a daily basis.

It's really not a good idea. Burns the shit out of your nose (ive tried it) and it will just make you have a snorting addiction.
Reminds me of when i was at school. People crushing up polo's and snorting lines Lol

The more stuff you put up your nose, the more chance you are in for:
- Damaged nose lining
- Damaged Sinus
- Eye infection

And so on, is a line of caffeine really worth that ? I don't think so

If it is a research paper, why are you asking people on bluelight.

We can't give you factual evidence on the Bioavailability and elimination half life for insufflated caffeine.

It's stupid. And:

Show me the statistics that its bad for you.

Where are these statistics going to come from? I doubt that anyone would have undertaken any research into this. Is snorting any substance good for you? No. Point closed.

Also no one is going to have any evidence on this and if they did it would be purely anecdotal (i doubt anyone even has anecdotal evidence as who honestly snorts caffeine?) which would not qualify for a research paper.

No one is going to know the long term effects of daily caffeine insufflation because once again, nobody would insufflate caffeine on a daily basis.

I think you need to choose a new topic for your research paper as this one is a dead end.

This is about the best research paper i can give you on intranasal administration of caffeine:

Caffeine is a shit substance to abuse too.

It will make you anxious, paranoid and jittery and probably give you insomnia too, as well as heart palpatations over a long time.

Caffeine is a stimulant tool, Excellent for those who are a bit sluggish and have work to do

At as low as 5mg/kg body-weight caffeine produces QRS complex prolongation. This lasted at least 3 hours. Not problematic at moderate dosage, in larger amounts, it will further prolong the QRS complex. QRS prolongation is associated with ventricular tachycardia and atrial fibrillation; this mechanism of QRS prolongation is likely the cause of arrhythmia associated with caffeine toxicity in overdose.

I haved snorted crushed up proplus pills before in an attempt to get the caffeine working quicker. but that was just because I love snorting too.

Next time you have a cup of coffee of a caffeine pill take out a stopwatch and see how long it takes for the effects to be felt orally, not long at all, a few minutes, not sure of the exact time as it would be different for different people depending on body sizes and stomach content and metabolism and stuff but a cup of coffee works prettty fast for me so there is no need at all to snort caffeine, it't not like it's ridicolously expensived either, so the price shouldn't be an argument if you are going to argue the "more bang for your buck" argument.

Another good point above eukaryote, snorting caffeine is pointless.

I have to say I've had my fun with No-Doz, going on 2-3 day binges with 300mg every 4-6 hours was interesting. But then again, I was using hydrocodone, xanax, Soma, hydroxyzine, and smoking bowls, so those might have helped calm those jitters ;)

But caffeine is bottom of the barrel trash as a stimulant, all PNS effects with bad side effects. Ephedrine is much better to use/abuse IMO. Keeps you up with less side effects, and is a nicer mix with weed. Tramadol was even better as a stimulant, imo.

Glad I got my sleep deprivation experimentation out of the way before discovering amphetamine pills, lol
