I miss
my innocence
being naïve
I miss the circle of comfort
that once surrounded me
for awhile there I lost myself
lost myself in you
I’m still thinking of the reason
you meant everything to me
to end up meaning
nothing to you
to end up to be
just an angel in disguise
I’m now aware of your intentions
the words you spoke were lies
targeting selfless people like me
to satisfy your selfish needs
build me up
and throw me down
maybe I’m better off
not having you around
my lips curl into a smile
thinking I used to believe
what I didn’t know couldn’t hurt me
and until recently that was true
I had my innocence until I had you.

Learning not to be so naive is a good lesson. Im sure in time you will be writing a poem about having your innocence back-I'll wait for it.
All experiences can be lessons if you look at them that way.
