INNOCENCE
One moment frozen in time
lost from me forever
caught by a memory
clutched by my endeavour
peaceful and happy
in an enlightening mood
alone here again
in my own solitude
sweet and pensive
and caught in my mind
close enough to remember
too far away to find
caught by my innocence
captured by my heart
holding on to my memories
dreading to part
simple and confused
i'm naive and sensitive
shaping my dreams
not knowing how to live
crying tears of no emotion
uncontrolled and loving still
not understanding how to be
going against my self and will
growing tall but staying shy
loving innocently i'm not what i seem
bless my heart and bless my tears
let me sleep and let me dream.
