Innocence and power

I still tremble each time I remember
The way you moved me beyond my inhibitions
And into something new.
Not sure if I like it here
With this loneliness grown in
Soil rich with lies.
But I feel so much stronger
Knowing more and having lived.
Walked where I shouldn't have walked
And survived without regrets
Just memories that fade like any others
But have a little more colour.
Redefining what it means to be me
This time banishing fear from the commitee.
I still smile when I remember
That I have lost innocence in the world's eyes
But gained innocence and power
In becoming a little more like me.
