Yeah, start with the thread smoke linked you too. It has a lot of basic info in it.

Also, we aren't here to be your personal "how to IV" tutors. That's not how this works. I say the same thing every time. The really only way to learn properly/safely is to have somebody who is experienced show you first hand what to do. IV'ing drugs isn't something you can just pick up like that from a few internet tips...

You can find safe injecting videos on youtube as well as various guides to properly inject as part of various harm reduction websites. It takes a lot of practice, and unless someone plays doctor for you expect to miss shots.

I hadn't been shown by anyone how to make injections before I did it the first time. Certainly later I saw different techniques but I never had to change mine. Actually it was me who was often asked to make an injection for someone, I hated knowing it was bad and knowing the person asking is really withdrawing (a junkie example of double effect...). People learn by experience, I said "no" to many newbies to i.v.'ed heroin like you, so don't be surprised people will refuse you. Opioids are kind of drugs that are so subtle from the very beginning that they easily fool you you're not getting addicted. I'm not preaching, if I were to move back in time, I think I would make the same mistakes because coping with any type of pain can easily become beyond one's capabilities. I started with codeine p.o., then injected it i.m., and eventually I started injecting various strong opioids intravenously, all that in a manner of one year or so. There are many pages with similar stories, that should speak for itself.

Get a belt. Make a loop like you would step into it, then put it around your left arm (assuming you aren't a witch & are right-handed) then tighten it & bite then so it's tight. do you see something swelling close to your inner-arm? That's a vein. cook you shot then hold the syringe up and push the plungerup so all the air is released. Now your shot it ready. Take the rig & poke yrself, aiming for the swelling cylindrical shit near the inner arm. Poke yrself & pull back slighlty on the rig. When you hit that vein blood will shoot in like red rose. Depress the plunger--it wont' hurt & if it does, you need to find the vein. BINGO.


I mean, fuck, unless your dealer is a 'tard ask him how to shoot up; he can probably help. BTW welcome to the world of intavenous heroin use. Yeah. it is cool for awhile, you can do this shit all by your self. You can buy insulin needles while the lowly pharm-tech thinks you have diabetes, but then guess what? It quits being fun. No, that's bullshit; it's always fun, but it carries a price. Once you shoot up, you will never forget what that feels like. And it's hard to quit.

dont use the actual drug when you are practicing to IV. cant stress that enough.

get yourself a heap of fresh rigs and a heap of snap off 0,9 NaCl (saline solution) sacheits and use that as it wont leave you wasting your drugs and eliminates the chance of an infectious missed shot.

I agree with above posts....Once you POP...you can't stop!!! Then after a while just the experience of prepping your spoon, cotton, water(BTW once you start IV'ing you're going to have to carry all this shit around with you...ALWAYS...cause you never know when you'll need them)is like a rush in itself(needle fetish)and you'll probably start doing "cotton shots" cause when you filter the dope through the cotton it turns brown with all the dope(and other stuff) that gets trapped in it. When you're real sick or just fiending for a fix, a cotton shot will fix you or maybe just the craving cause most of the time you won't feel anything!!! But BE CAREFUL...if your cotton gets used a lot or gets contaminated you will get what's called "cotton fever" which is the worst feeling you can get...it's like instant flu...you'll shake all over like a leaf, get the chills, then sweats, then chills again...Believe me you don't want to go through that!!! So if you start "cotton shots"...Be Warned!!!!!
