Did someone say K injection?!?!?
Aaaaah, my favorite subject - and my favorite drug! I think there is some great advice on this thread, but I want to add one last thing - be accurate with the dosing. I read a lot of replies saying: "Start with 1cc, or 1ml". please be careful and make sure to check what your concentration IS - when talking Ketamine I prefer to deal in total milligrams, thus eliminating the confusion inherent with liquid volumes and solution concentrations. Most Ketamine is sold in either 50mg/ml or 100mg/ml. As long as you calculate the total amount in the solution, you will be fine.
Also for first dose, I will beg you to start off conservatively. Ex: I have been doing Ketamine for a while now, and I have been doing lots of it. I am 5'8" and well built (ladies, please!) - keep this in mind when I say that I never need to inject more than 100mg... 90mg is usually my upper limit. That is a lot of K!!!
I actually injected 20mg my first time, just to get a feel for the drug. Each additional time I injected, i would increase the dose by 10mg. Many might see this as being overly cautious - but I can assure you that few people have had the opportunity to see what the full range of a drugs effects are like, as I was able to in titrating my Ketamine up slowly.
Furthermore, long ago I posted an email about the first time I injected my housemate. He is 5'9" and pretty thin, so we also started him with 20mg. For him, the dissociative experience proved to be so overpowering that he wimpered like a child for about 20 minutes begging me to make it stop. He literally couldn't move, just babble and cry. I know this is by no means a "Typical" response, but bear it in mind when you choose your starting dose. Make sure you are properly prepared for the sensation of dissociation - it is a powerful one.
The following is a link with a good dose chart/ body weight:

Again, I suggest starting low. Perhaps 30-45 mg? Glad to hear you're going to have a sitter - even better that it's a doctor.
Good luck however you decided to approach your trip. It's a powerful drug, but truly wonderful if used wisely. Keep us posted!
