Inhaling stems

Just wondering:

What happens to the tar and debris deposited in the lungs when you smoke? Do the lungs clean them out eventually?

And what happens to the bigger chunks, like say pieces of stems of marijuana? I seem to be inhaling many of those, do those ever come out?

When I smoked, i'm pretty sure my lungs generated extra mucus to clean this shit out. In fact, i've become an expert cougher - lol. now that I vaporise, my lungs are nearly better.

but if you're inhaling stems, which I doubt, then i'd say you're doing something wrong.

Yea, it was a shitty pipe; I definitely felt pieces of stem shoot through my mouth, but I couldn't react fast enough to stop inhaling and spit them out. Didn't feel very good at all, and for the rest of the night I ended up feeling very paranoid about inhaling stems. 8)

I know that certain white blood cells engulf and "eat up" small pieces of debris like dust, mucus transports debris out too and so does coughing. But stems are pretty large chunks and hard as hell; how in the world would the lungs ever get rid of them once they're stuck inside?

Also, is it more likely that I just swallowed the stems instead of inhaling them into the lungs? I'd imagine actually inhaling such large pieces of debris would lead to some pretty severe coughing.

i doubt a large piece of stem would make it down your bronchi. there are certain mechanisms in place to prevent that. if u did inhale something substantial you'd probably cough until it was gone.

How big of a stem are we talking here? lol, I'm picturing a rather large mids stem shooting its way down your throat.

lol @ the fire comment. I am also picture large stems flying right down your windpipe into your lungs. It's a terrible sight :(.

I tried smoking stems once depsite the fact that people told me it will ruin my dick. and wham a stem shot down my throat, but I don't think it actually went down there because after awhile i noticed it was in my mouth and then i ate it

yeye im ashamed

chances are large chunks wont make it to the lungs, and your trachea has scillia that brush out debris eventually.

Reminds of the guy who was operated on for a tumour, only for the doctors to discover said "tumour" was a small pine-tree in his lungs. True story....

Best bet: remove any stems from your smoke. :)
