Infograph on cost of living around the World

I'm not certain on the accuracy of this, but i find it interesting especially Venezuela's position.

This map shows the difference in living costs around the world using figures from the world's largest database of user contributed data about cities and countries worldwide. The Consumer Price Index, used to determine the difference in the living costs between countries takes into account the prices of groceries, transportation, restaurants and utilities.

even in smaller countries the cost of living can vary so much between cities that it's hard to take this seriously. also, why the fuck is blue and green separated by red, yellow and orange? why are people who don't even know roygbiv making infographics?!?!?!

looking at cost outwith the context of income seems kind of pointless. they should be comparing standard of living.

i work at a saas company and we get bombarded by people who've put together some infographic and want us to include it in our blog or on our website...

^^Yep - Norway & Denmark are high on the list but also have the best socialised systems in the world. It might cost them but they get more for their buck than anyone. Not putting the extra info means the infograph seems a lot of wasted time.
