info on amyl nitrite?

yeah... so ive never tried it, and have heard its easy to find at sex shops or head shops, so im thinkin i might try it soon. Has anyone else given it a try? Im just tryin to figure out if its even worth doing cause ive heard mixed things about it. If it is worth doing, is there a certain way to enhance the experience? Is it safe/better/worse to do while rolling? Any and all info would be helpful... peace.

Did it for over a month or so, it's fun but not super,
you feel really stoned and like you have a big head for over 30 seconds or so.
Never did it when rolling but heard great stories about this.
 
Nitrite not Nitrate

Once again, the inhalants sold at sex shops are nitrites, not nitrates. Amyl nitrite is the substance to which you are referring.

Amyl nitrate is also a prescription drug but that has no recreational value. The fact that both amyl nitrite and amyl nitrate are prescription drugs helps add to the confusion.

I actually used to put the shit on cigs, let them dry and smoke them. That was a complete mind-fuck for a few minutes. Very throbby, and pounding. Not a huge fan of inhalants especially amyl nitrate and the like. I could also feel myself getting dumber as I used them so I eventually stopped. Not highly reccommended.
 
Where are you people from that say you can get amyl in head shops and sex shops? I'm pretty sure amyl is illegal in the US except for medical uses, and that you can only buy butyl, iso-butyl, and cyclohexyl in stores. Anyway, nitrites are pretty useless imo, although they can be fun if they're used with psychedelics.
 
Oh yeah, the_anatomist.... if you put amyl on a cigarette and smoked it, it wouldn't do a damn thing. Not to mention the fact that you said you put it on a cigarette and LET IT DRY. HELLO!!! If you let it dry that means that the amyl evaporated and YOU WERE JUST SMOKING A PLAIN CIGARETTE!8) If you did that and think you got high it was a placebo effect.
