I have a bag of some very potent #4 heroin which is a greyish off-white colored powder. I have been using the same batch for about 9-10 days now. I am 100% sure its the same, since I have had it in my possession the entire time. When I first got it, I would get a slight pins and needles effect with the larger shots, but lately, more specifically I noticed it in the last 12 hours, when I take a shot, I get a pretty intense pins and needles effect through my whole body, even to my teeth. It sort of radiates outwards ending in the finger-tips, then subsides.
I am confused as to why this is happening. The only thing I changed is the injection spot. The last few injections were on my right hand the vein that runs between the thumb and pointer finger(right in between, I can't remember the name, bit I think bascacilic or something). That vein has not been used for about a month because about a month ago, I was injecting tar and I took too many shots there, so it was damaged. To this day, I think there was still some scar tissue or something there because when my hand is in certain positions, you can see a little lump there. Today, since I am trying to rotate injection sites, I decided to give that spot a try. The skin was a little harder to break for some reason, and it hurt a little more to do so, but once I did that, I registered super easy and fired up the shot... I actually have only done 2 shots from that area(I tried to space it a little bit, but its only a couple milimeters difference, so essentially the same spot).
I am wondering could the pins and needles that are extra caused by some sort of left overs from the tar I did before? Is that even possible? After my last binge on injecting Tar I will never do it again, it fucked up a bunch of my veins for just 2 weeks. the powder I have now does little to no damage. I rotate on 3-4 sites and do about 4 -5 shots a day. the powder product, though not that much more potent(the tar I got was very strong in the first place), it is stronger, so I use less, but also you can see the difference when you make a shot. it dissolves completly in cold water, after pulling into a syringe through a coton, there is no residue. With tar, sometimes tthere was a scary amount of residue, usually its not too bad, but looking back, anything left in the spoon is kind of nasty. Even the fact that I had to heat it up to prepare the shot should have sent some warning signals off that it would fuck up my arms. A missed shot with tar results in a big lump at the injection site which is there even after the pain goes away. USually for about a month. When you miss with powder, it swells slightly for maybe 20 minutes, then subsides and feels like its slightly bruised. You can't even tell in a few hours.
The other explanation I can think of is that the person who produced this powder made some mistakes and the batch is not homogeneous and parts of it have morphine which hasnt acetylated, so certain shots are more of a morphine shot than heroin? the only way this would make sense is if the morphine is a different density than the heroin, since this started happening toward the bottom of this bag I am using. I have another bag from the exact same batch which is more full, so if this is the case, the next time I try it I will use the other bag and I will see right away(but I kind of dont want to use that injection site again so there is a dilema)
It amazes me that powder though not much more potent is so much cleaner(and more expensive) than tar. The source for both the tar and the powder is the same. Is the production process to get white powder so much more expensive or ineffficient than the production for tar? from what I understand they use the same ingredients pretty much. Both seem to need acetic anhydride. Perhaps the powder needs a lab to be made while the tar can be produced in the back of a truck? Or is the production time the issue for why they produce it? Other than those reasons, the main reason I can see tar being produced is to market the drug to people who dont want to use needles and prefer to smoke. Tar is 100x more efficient than powder at smoking. In fact, I would say the only way the powder is worthwhile is if you inject it. Snorting it is a much weaker effect and smoking it doesnt work. Many people are afraid of the stigma with needles and they are perfectly ok with smoking it. The question then is if tar is intended primarily for smokers, why isnt it available on the east coast in addition to powder and vice versa, why isnt powder available on the west coast for users who use needles? The only reason I got it was a favor. My guy set aside a nice supply for me and sent the rest out east. besides me, maybe one other person purchases the powder. The majority of the people prefer to smoke so it doesnt make sense for them or if they inject, they are usually pretty broke and since the powder is literally twice the cost they go for tar since the powder isnt twice the potency(I have tested the tar several times in ranges of 70-85%, I ran out of tests before I got this powder, but if the tar is 70% i would say powder is 90-95% pure based on the reduction of usage.
I know this strays off topic, so just a reminder main query is about pins and needles despite not changing the product.
