increased heart beat when stoned

So i was out getting high last night and when i got home my heart was racing. I dont smoke weed regularly nowadays but this has happened for the last 2 or 3 times ive been high. It was terrifying to be honest with you i thought i was having a heart attack or something, it didnt hurt but it was beating really fast..
any advise or similar experiences would be greatly appreciated..

very common.
usually the first sign that I am getting high, is the hearing off my heartbeat, and the speeding up of it.

don't stress, its not a problem.
stressing about it will actually cause your heartrate to increase further.

I think it happens to every one. Don't mix weed with stimulants, that's bad for your heart. And I think its easier to get a heart attack when you stoned because of the increased heart rate. That doesn't mean if you smoke you'll get a heart attack, it means if your going to have a heart attack and you smoke it'll probably happen faster.

I know a girl who refuses to smoke now because she thinks it fucks with her heart. She doesn't understand that this is common among many people, thinks it is just her, haha.

Last thursday i whent to a show (metallica knot lamb of god mastodon all in the same day ;p)
anyway before the show me and my friends got some good Sh*t before the show stars ( 1h) each one of us smoke a joint solo... 30 mins after i was in the floor i put my and in the chest and it was like: PUTBUM PUTBUM PUTBUM PUTBUM that was it guys.

Yeah don't worry about it, weed is about as harmless as it comes. I get that sometimes and then the paranoia sets in and you get worried and it beats harder etc etc. Just enjoy yourself. I'd be more worried about the cholesterol after you eat your way through a Big Mac when you got the munchies.
