So...

I have been experienced with meth on and off for something like a decade...

More on the off part but had a few years that were distinctly "on"

As of late (more recently) - I have been experiencing a sharp increase in what could be described as a bladder just not functioning as it should while on meth

It goes far beyond simple "dope dick" or other such common things which I could understand but still be upset with

Not only does that function just not seem to work right but the whole general functions of that region seem messed up - this is not from a long period of use either - this would still happen right from the get go really or right around the 12-24 hour mark

Urine seems to just kinda leak out - nothing like a stream, but more of a constant slight amount coming out - and if this happens - it persists for several days even after coming down

as embarrassing this might be this is the internet and figure it might be better to inquire to such issues

any thoughts to this?

Amphetamines were actually used as a treatment FOR urinary incontinence several decades ago. As far as I know, they're not connected with causing it at all. Its likely that this issue is unrelated to amphetamines, and it would be a good idea to see your GP (or a urologist, if you don't need a referral) to get down to the root cause of it.

The issue this doesn't happen at all on a regular basis and only occurs while on said substance

research had been done to a degree and had seen the use of it as a treatment against it

wondering if its possible this was caused by an adulterant commonly found/used in that particularly area - as it didn't happen all the time but MOST of the time

Will see about the possibility of questioning this with an MD or GP

Yes the fact that it only occurs when using meth means it is likely related. Adulterants are a good idea but would be very hard to pinpoint or do anything about if you continue using. It could also be an underlying condition as dokomo mentioned which could be exacerbated by the drug use.

I think some of the confusion lies without the terminology used. From my understanding, it seems like the OP is experience urinary retention or similar issues rather than incontinence (when you urinate unintentioinally/can't control it). It makes sense given what he's experiencing that amphetamines could treat incontinence.

Unfortunately, I can't really comment on this issue but perhaps others could if they understood that the OP is not experiencing incontinence as its generally described.

Thanks for pointing that out--when the subject said incontinence I assumed that the "Urine seems to just kinda leak out" thing implied that it was leaking unintentionally.

If this is occurring when you're trying to urinate, OP, then its most likely urinary retention as cane said (a common side effect of amphetamines.)

no... I wish it was only occurring while trying to urinate - this happens uncontrollably, leaving me with not wet but damp pants

There is also an increase in needing to urinate in addition to this

meth needs to be avoided at all costs but might see the doc on this one as it could be something bigger

(hope its not something like making the prostate become swollen or something like that... )

check if you have a urinary tract infection firstly at a GP. unusual for guys but more serious if it is.
they may check your prostate also as above (norm Sx for that are hesitency, poor flow, terminal dribbling, nocturia- night urinating, incomplete emptying, and having to go frequently)
b.c the prostate has strangled the flow and then you can't cut it off properly either.

could be over flow incontinence - where you have some retention and now the bladder is full and leaking.
from using speed I remember going more often - it sped every process up so I urinated more, my heart rate increase and just produced more urine more quickly.

Already know its not a UTI - been there, done that, totally know the difference

might be over active bladder ? Kinda unsure at this point - will ask round about questions next time an MD is seen

Stuff like this never used to happen - "old age" might be partially to blame but not that high up in numbers yet...

its just what meth does. it seems to be related to the mechanism that gives you those insane extra long unending multiple (male) orgasms when you first start doing it that over time causes you to become nearly impotent.

only solution here is don't do the meth. it goes away when you come off it. trust me.

Hm. I've had a similar issue for a while

In my case, after urinating i have to wrap some tissue/t.p. around my shaft and gently pull forward to get the rest out.. otherwise it'd dribble (just a few drops) on my pants after zipping up, which obviously isn't the most flattering look when you're say in a public place... Altho wearing underwear would solve that issue, i can't stand them (OK, too much info...) :o

Regardless this happens every time i piss, tho it may be slightly pronounced while i'm on amps due to the enhanced vasoconstriction... I don't remember exactly when it started happening, tho my guess is around august-september 08'; when i first rolled on MDMA and started taking SSRIs.. I distinctly remember the SSRI causing the leakage, so i think that's what triggered it in the beginning....... Even tho i was only on it for 2 weeks it seemed to cause some minor damage

No doubt the non-stop debauchery that followed over the course of the next two years didn't help matters.. Pill-popping, powder-blowing, crystal-smoking and binge-drinking 3-6 days a week for 2 years certainly can't be good for anyone

I'm just thankful i never went overboard, got into trouble or ODed...

Anyway, sorry for the little tangent... :o

One last thing i'd like to add: if you don't already do so, i strongly recommend getting a hold of these supps:

-Vitamin B-complex (all B-vits in one pill/capsule): good vasodilator. excellent for cardio & mental health
-Vitamin A + Vitamin D or high-dose borage/fish/krill oil: lowers BP, reduces hypertension etc..
-Magnesium: any form except magnesium oxide, which is useless. Magnesium citrate is much better, is available OTC at any pharmacy/market & dirt cheap. I usually order magnesium orotate online
-Zinc: again, avoid zinc oxide.. all other forms (gluconate, glycinate, picolinate, citrate) are good. I personally prefer zinc picolinate
(PS- obvious one: drink plenty of water throughout the day)

^These are pretty much the essentials for everyone, but especially for stim users who tend to have chronically low levels of especially magnesium and zinc... hence the high-incidence of anemia/malnutrition,meth mouth, psychosis, insomnia and other serious health issues among frequent users who otherwise eat well, exercise & take care of themselves

Good luck and stay stafe,

-G
