In short, I went to the hospital 14 months ago uncontrolled vomiting for 60hrs. I lost an extreme amount of weight from the water loss and at the same moment I got into the ER my body seized. I was ragging in the ER and loud. They gave me Inapsine IV which immediately shut me up. It was like someone was dumping a 10 gallon bucket of water into my body starting from the head down. Literally the fastest acting drug I have ever experienced for aggression and vomiting. It could reverse a ragging gorilla within seconds into a baby like state. 30 secs after this they gave me Haldol IV and Phenergan IM. At this time I have an Rx for Haldol 10mg: 12hr PO.

Needless to say, I was in another world rather quickly. After 3hrs things return to normal and I was sent home with Phenergan suppositories. I really wanted more Inapsine to take home.

Droperidol /droʊˈpɛrɪdɔːl/ (Inapsine, Droleptan, Dridol, Xomolix, Innovar [combination with fentanyl]) is an antidopaminergic drug used as an antiemetic (that is, to prevent or treat nausea) and as an antipsychotic. Droperidol is also often used as a rapid sedative in intensive-care treatment, and where "agitation aggression or violent behavior

Did you get any akathisia (restlessness) or anhedonia? Dopamine antagonists/antipsychotics are hell on earth for me. And I think haloperidol is even an inverse agonist at some sites and has a very promiscuous pharmacology.

I had anhedonia or completely detached from my body withing seconds of the Inapsine IV injection. The closest thing I could compare it to would be Clonidine IV and Versed IV at the same time.

From what I have read is, just like Clonidine IV, Inapsine is given alongside opioids for severe cancer pain when normal opioid doses are not enough. I also see why they give it for horrible headaches in the ER, the detached feeling is instant.

I like Haldol but adding it to my normal daily meds it turns me into a zombie according to my family. So I stopped taking it.
