People come into our lives everyday
Some of them fade, and some of them stay
You won't remember them all through the years
And some of them will bring you tears
The years will pass and people change
We learn that life is fragile and strange
Smiles are treasures we bury and hide
Yet sadness and tears are so easily cried
Friends come and go, but the memory stays
Spirits live on in mysterious ways
Remember that people, not memories, die
And life passes you up in the blink of an eye
I took life for granted in so many ways
And realized too late that regret often stays
I let the days go by without calling my friends
It wasn't until i lost them that i made my amends
Love came to me in all the wrong ways
And i let it ruin my better days
Those sleepless nights could have been better spent
I found out too late what destiny meant
Falling in love makes us weak,
Letting go makes us stronger
Time will never tick slower
So make your happy moments last longer
Life is funny like that, and no one knows why
But its all come and gone, in the blink of an eye
We make choices in life, some right and some wrong
Life teaches us lessons, and mistakes make us strong
Our yearbooks are dusty with things long forgot
Not the dances and parties, but the things we were taught
That life isn't always easy, but still worth living
That even the biggest mistakes need forgiving
Your last words to someone may be the last that they hear,
Let them be special and let them be dear
You'll realize too late that the past is the past
Let memories live on, but dont let grudges last
Dont count the days as they pass you on by
Cuz life is too short, just the blink of an eye
Looking back on your life, you won't be proud of it all
But be proud you got up each time fate made you fall
Thank God for your parents, they wont always be there
They are the best thing you have even if they're not there
Cherish the laughs that you and your roommate have had
There will be times you cant laugh because things are so bad
Dont spend your time wishing for someone to call
The phone works two ways, if i do recall
Keep the past in your heart and tomorrow in your sight
Know the sun will still rise if you cant sleep tonight
Don't ever lose hope, and i'll tell you why -
Yesterday's gone in the blink of an eye

But let one last forever, if you are smart
Have one thing in your life that you always hold dear
