I have been doing dope everyday for the past year, never shot, only blew. I go to a buprenorphine clinic, but it's very difficult having to drive 45 minutes everyday to dissolve the pill under my tongue in front of them, then go 45 minutes back home. and they won't give me a prescription, since i also have shitty insurance. How do I cope with the awful withdrawal? I also feel like I'm getting addicted to buprenorphine. Why does this shit make you feel so fucking good when you're doing it, but then have these shit side effects, dammit.

Is it more difficult than doing whatever you had been doing in order to do heroin everyday?

If you want off the bupe, I suggest you tell this to the clinic, and have them taper you off of it. I would also look into finding a private doctor to prescribe the suboxone to you.

I have shitty insurance though :/ not many places accept it, so I'm kind of lost because if I could take bupe everyday, I wouldn't turn around and do a bundle like I did today. I have no self control with this shit, it sucks.

Do your dealers accept insurance?

What I am getting at is that you probably spend in 1 week would you would need to pay for a months worth of suboxone through a private doctor.

I empathize with your situation with the insurance. For the last year and a half I've had to pay for my suboxone scripts, but now I'm on a new provider that will cover suboxone.

Tommyboy has a point though, there is no way that a months script of buprenorphine is going to be more expensive than your heroin habit (unless you've been using a real small amount of dope). And you actually are addicted to buprenorphine, or rather, you're still addicted to opioids, only this one is a partial agonist (which really doesn't mean much as far as I'm concerned for maintenance purposes)

I know there are many negatives involved, but in your situation it may pay off to look into methadone. Some people prefer it over bupe, especially as it's cheaper, more insurances cover it and it's easier to get take-home doses if you behave.

But if you're worried about getting even more addicted, please be aware that both methadone and bupe have very unpleasant (and way longer lasting than H) WDs if used as long term substitutes.

Where do you live?

If you live in the United States, you should be able to get on out-patient Suboxone treatment, so that you only have to drive 45 minutes once a month, not daily, to get your buprenorphine.

I've found that it's cheaper to buy Subs on the street than even getting it prescribed. 8o8o8o8o

It's not.

That's my experience though. I had good health insurance. And the doctor didn't charge a CRAZY insane fee just to see him for five minutes out of the month.

If your doctor charges you too much, that's likely why. With health insurance, I didn't end up paying more than $100 for any amount of Suboxone I needed. I won't name the EXACT price, but just to give you an estimation.
