another day goes by and it's still on my mind,
i wake up thinking, but disillusion myself with thoughts of something else
im so happy im going back home
just the thought of hugging all of them again
walking my dog up the street
riding my horse through hills feeling free
yet it's still in the back of mind
making it's way to my conscious
yet i struggle,
go away tomorrow is gonna be a happy day
they'll hug me they'll comfort me
it's only a matter of time
and it'll be out of my head
out of my mind
still i want you to know
but it won't happen
too proud to say ....
too scared to feel...
too frightened to be...
i guess i can't work it through
i guess nor can you
walls protecting my healing scars
or have they healed?
a smile that will never turn into a frown, as the day i allow you or anyone else to change my ways
is the day i'll apologize and say, they've defeated me it's time for me to go away
fly up to heaven
or fall straight down to hell,
and if they don't exist then i'm just gonna fade away as my soul makes it's way to find a better place.
