i actually kinda agree..the demand for breaks in indy is gettin slim, especially the more gritty breaks,at least in my experience.not to mention its getting harder and harder for me to find current breaks tracks i like anymore,i have to dig ALOT. and most of the time i come up with alot of the same names..might take a break from breaks and play around with all the other genres i have in my library..

May I recommend perhaps mining the depths of Detroit electro and its offshoots, as well as some of the stuff coming out of the UK right now? Plenty of broken beats out there. You might find some inspiration by widening your search parameters. :)

Rogue Robot has her finger on some of the modern offshoots of electro, and I am pretty well versed in what's going on in the UKish area. Plenty of people around here dabbling on the edges of what might be considered breaks. Ask around!

:)

thanks:)defiantly one of my favorates. not familliar with the detroit variation very much, but from what ive heard of it,i like the ambient feel.

Detroit is the home of true Electro. UR perfected that shit <3 This new "electro" shit is just that, shit. (this is only my opinion, Juxtapoze in no way endorses it, I can use my own brain. Please don't get all bent out of shape, you can not like what I play)

Next Week, BIG! Dave and I shall be droppin science. If you didn't get to catch the 2x4 a few years ago when it was a frequent thing, don't sleep on this.

well i am still somewhat of a youngin.but thats all the more reason.if i dont have it in my library,i usually try to find something in that genre that i do like. givin there is some electro to me that just sounds like its off a va album, but i like most of it.i dunno,as ive said before thats why edm is awsome, its all about the choice. and theres so much of it.

bah, i hate sub genre classification...but this will always be the benchmark of electro to me (you knew it'd show up eventually)

definatly the one id think of on origonal electro.seems like the classification gets confusing after a while, escpecially when they use the name for offshoots that sound completly changed.genereations do that tho i guess..i dunno, when goth became more ebm-ish and poppy, they called it neo-goth.electro now sounds more housey than breaky..just wonder why they didnt referr to it as nu-electro or neo-electro or something..
