The Disco Aliens
Love, Space, Music
La Honda/Disco Aliens/JumbieArt
Louisville, Ky

Although they claim to be from outer space, this rogue squadron is actually four raging lunatics from the Midwest bringing you inter-dimensional sounds from the edges of the universe. These maniacs conspired for years before finally joining forces to create speaker-crushing soundscapes with the full intention of causing havoc and mayhem. A sonic battle station composed of turntables, CDJs, 2 mixers, and multiple sound sculptors performing simultaneously is engineered to create this uniquely energetic multi-genre dance floor experience.

You have been warned. The Aliens are coming.

Damn....I just realized we almost have an ALL vinyl lounge again.

Jangatha had to ruin it. haha

Sorry!! I'll use serato control vinyl, that's technically still vinyl??? :P. I spent years and years buying vinyl back in the day, just not practical for me anymore. Most of the vinyl being pressed today is from a digital master or completely DAW anyways. Cheers to the vinyl tho! It's always a bit silly seeing people swap laptops & cords (eventhough I do it). It was so much cooler when you could just pull out your headphone jack and the next dj jack in and drop a rekkid. Shuffling through vinyl looks cooler than scrolling through virtual crates too.

Just as silly swapping out needles, though. And sometimes slip-mats, depending on the anal-ocity of the DJ that went on before you.

I mean, love for all those keeping it alive, but I've traveled in enough airports lugging a carry-on, a suitcase, and a bag-crate of 150+ records (plus the worry that goes with it) to not miss that shit anymore.

I carried my bag from the parking lot across the street to Taste of Tango and was damn near winded from the effort.

Nope. Don't miss it at all.

I'm with Brandon. It got to the point where it cost me a few hundred a month if I wanted to play the up front stuff due to dubplates being ridiculous $$$ to cut. Take a few months of that, buy a laptop and serato and play everything the day I get it =D

LOL!!! I haven't had to do that much recently, but I know the feeling. It's worth it from time to time :)

In general, the digital deal is the most convenient. however not the only route.

btw, this party will be off the chain :P. Expect some dope true house sounds from my set!!
