Modern Perspectives is a unique after hours party following IDADA's First Friday Gallery Walk and festivities in December. The December 4th event will feature a combination of works by four local artists paired with a range of music arranged by local dj’s.
The featured artists include:
-Andrea Fogt: featured installation artist; Andrea's installation art will show at 10PM and be publicly destroyed at 2AM
-Andrew Ball: abstract metal sculpture
-Christopher Smock: large painting oddities
-Trina O'Connor: random photos and paintings
Live and recorded music will entertain the attendees in each area of the Inn and Gallery. In the Gallery, Ben Wu, Bryan Luellen, Andrew Hizer and Chachi Guerrero will provide house, techno sound to compliment the artist’s works.
In the Front of the Inn, Comasoft will give a live performance of their distinctive dirty disko, indie trash, electro rock/Chicago style music followed by DJ’s Paranoid, Inc and DJ Shiva. In the Back of the Inn, “The Factory” is a collection of DJ’s offering rhythmic noise, aggrotech, hardcore, industrial and uniquely Indianapolis sound.
The idea behind Modern Perspectives is that in all art, whether music, photography, paintings, sculpture, etc. there seems to often be labels of genres, logos and branding. The goal of Modern Perspectives is to “mix it up” with different styles of electronic music.
