...And I don't want to buy a bunch right now since there's so many I want to start reading that I really can't even afford to at the minute haha :D

I can get ebooks in pdf or kindle format for pretty cheap, so this is an option - but I don't have a kindle (I do have kindle on my Samsung Galaxy S2 but I think it'll be too small and strain my eyes) and I find it hard to read books with adobe reader as it's quite uncomfortable filling the screen with the book.

So I have a few questions.

1) Does anyone know any pdf readers that are more suited for people reading books - maybe ones that show two pages at a time like a book and shrink it to book-size on your screen, with page turning rather than scrolling? Ones with full-screen options so I can get unnecessary clutter off my screen are a bonus.

2) Does anyone know if there's anywhere I can borrow English books in Poland? I know there are some speciality stores that sell them - but even those are rare, so the likelihood of finding a library is small :(

3) Finally, anyone know any good cheap second-hand european book stores? And/or book exchanges where you can trade your old books for different ones with someone who's looking for them? :D

Thanks in advance. I thought this'd fit better here in Words than in SO, but feel free to move it if you wish <3

i've been in the same situation. ask around. i was able to find english books just about anywhere in europe. depending on where you are, there are probably at least a few other tourists that have an english book they are finished with and are willing trade for whatever you just finished. i mostly just traded with people i met and places i stayed, but in a lot of countries people did try to give me directions to an english book store. it's just that europeans can't give directions.

Hi, for your second question, you can always hit the British Council (there's one in every capital city in Europe), they have a good selection of books and can always redirect you to a british bookstore if their selection does'nt satisfy you ;)

^ I didn't know that. I'll give it a try.

As for asking locals, the issue is me and my dad are the only two British people in my entire town (that's not a wild guess, we actually had the local constable come to see if we were really living here or not, and he told us there are only three foreigners in the town, one dutch guy - and us two.) - I'm sure there are plenty of British people living in Krakow but I've yet to meet any of them. I might have to check out some expat sites and attend a meet or something :)

I know you said that you do not want to buy any books, but have you checked amazon.com? You can get used books there dirt cheap.
