Important Question about Possible Pill Contents!

I was just wondering: does anyone know what part of the MDXX molecular structure causes the reaction with Marquis reagent? Because, think about this: Could it be possible for a manufacturer to put safrole, isosafrole, or MDP-2P (some of the intermediate steps in MDMA synthesis) in pills, to save money??? It seems to me that the basic structure of these compounds is the same as MDMA, so when tested by EZ-Test or something, a purple/black reaction would occur - and it would be a bunk pill!
Anyone know if this is possible?

I dunno

But I imagine all outlay costs would be covered by this stage. Unless safrole reacts the same and the chemist doesn't have facilities to turn it into isosafrole.
It would only save time as far as I can tell.... but I'm not up on mdma synth so I can't say for sure.
