Immigration discussion

Why is the onus on women to interact with these men just because they do not wish to be sexually harassed or assaulted?
I think the entire point is that they DON’T want to interact with them….
You would be surprised how many women have been sexually assaulted.
You make it sound like we should talk to every strange man no matter how uncomfortable we feel.
The girl who didn't say hi back was probably raped the week before. You don't know.
It is fundamentally rapey rhetoric to blame women for being sexually harassed just because they do not wish to interact with predatory young men.
Jesus Christ.. you do realize this is all just the mirror image of the incel worldview, right? Catastrophising the very worst qualities of a small percentage of men and projecting them across the entire demographic? And again, people wonder why marriage and birth rates are declining, and why even the reported rates of sexual relations between young people are going down too. Obviously it is multifaceted, but this attitude towards men in general is very much part of the equation.

Making eye contact and exchanging a smile is like the most basic human interaction ever. No wonder our countries are so fucking bananas these days, when every man is suspect in the eyes of the culture (and therefore women). It's not 'rapey rhetoric' at all. All I'm saying is, you (women, or society about low birth rates, dating, etc) can't complain about the state of men when the most basic organic interactions have been designated as immediately suspect.. that combative attitude is absolute poison for social relations.

I'm under no illusions about sexual assault or rape; I know from personal experience with women I've been with and also friends who've experienced it. It's a tragedy, no doubts. But let's not assume that every woman who can't be bothered to advance a simple human courtesy falls into that category of having been assaulted, I just do not buy that assumption. I mean the unfortunate reality is these crimes occur worldwide, but the combative hostility towards men from a sub-section of women in the west is very much a western phenomena - this is why I picked up on acknowledging that post by @HeadphonesandLSD and SEA women for example.
I'd argue it isn't just younger women. Society is evolving every day. It affects males and females. How many 'men' are still living in their parents basement off mom and dad whilst in their 30's? How many 'men' walk around with earbuds in and eyes down offering at most a mumbled reply when greeted with 'Hello'? Technology, politics which leads to laws, social norms get bent and twisted = all of it is evolving, changing how younger citizens interact with others and the world around them. They will adapt to procreate, or not. But it's everyone, not just one group.
No for sure. This thing with younger western women is just one manifestation of a totally broken psychology caused by our culture.

I only picked up on that post because I knew what he was referring too, and it's something that needs confronting really. I mean it's in the interest of women to actually have some foresight and contemplate these things, because for all the 'I don need no man' bullshit.. what are you going to do if a huge subset of the younger demographic of men says "fuck this. i'm out"? Which is what is happening, in multiple countries. It's going to have massive knock-on effects that will affect their lives. And who are they going to turn to for protection, if the state or another demographic within their nations turns on them? Again we've seen a smaller manifestation of this already where men are reluctant to get involved in physical altercations, for fear of reprisal or legal repercussion.

What’s wrong with Joy Division???
Nothing - but this is what the name means:

    • Source of New Name:
The new name, "Joy Division," was inspired by the term used in the novel "House of Dolls" by Ka-Tzetnik 135633 to describe the brothels in Nazi concentration camps where Jewish women were forced into sexual slavery.
I was simply stating that names can be reused/repurposed and reclaimed for a different use of their original intent.

@-=SS=- 81% of women have been sexually harassed by men. Instead of blaming the women put the blame at the men driving that statistic up.
If a woman wants to listen to music and not deal with strangers that's our right. If we don't feel safe when a guy starts to make eye contact and talk to us it's our right to look away and not reply.
People are still dating. People are still having sex but what is different is now we can say no and set boundaries. 100 years ago we couldn't.

The definition of sexual harassment is wide, ranging from verbal comments all the way up to physical stuff, and to be honest I do not believe that all 81% of women are not embellishing the truth of the matter. Yes there's genuine stuff in that figure, but I'd bet a dollar a lot is blown way out of proportion and frankly many just need thicker skin. Regardless, what sense is there in treating all men as equal to the very worst image one can have of a man?

If women want to ignore men except for times of their choosing, that's their prerogative. I'm not arguing that. But you can't expect to have your cake and eat it too. If men 'aren't allowed' to interact toward women in any way that is not subject to her discretion i.e. they are forced to frequent only the places that women deem acceptable to be approached in, then that shows a spectacular unwillingness on behalf of women to understand the nature of men and what they might want. Men don't like to be confined to prearranged shit like that; men are hunters, but also it's just lame.. I can't find the words for what I want to say other than it's just lame?

It's also completely counterproductive, because now every asshole knows to go salsa dancing or whatever in order to get into women's pants; you've narrowed the range of avenues available to all men, but the assholes are not going to care either way so all you do is exclude decent potential partners. I guess what I'm getting at is; yes, there are bad guys out there, that's a fact of life, but allowing that to colour ones perception of men you haven't even met is therefore denying perhaps the chance of a spontaneous positive occurrence.
People are still dating. People are still having sex but what is different is now we can say no and set boundaries. 100 years ago we couldn't.
Yes, but if you pay attention to how that is occurring and especially with those under 35 it's overwhelmingly through dating apps and not organic occurrence. And that is a whole topic in itself, because the psychology has really skewed horrendously because of those apps, especially in regards to female psychology and how it has warped expectations and self-perception.

I mean it's great women feel they have more agency and power, but it's come about the wrong way and at the expense of the wrong people as well. It's not a sustainable psychological balance between the sexes and it inevitably won't end well. At the root level, it's based on a lie.. the lie being all men should be treated with suspicion because a small percentage are assholes.

Wow.
I see your point.

And I apologize for my assumptions and the ad hominem @-=SS=-.
Regardless of our differences and disagreements, I was out of line and I’m sorry.

Imagine being a federal judge and ruling that deporting illegal alien gang members isn't allowed. Turns out they're still gonna get deported

Imagine thinking that the administration who deported an international student because of a speeding ticket is not corrupt and is to be trusted. The more I see the more I'm convinced 100% that Trumpers don't give a shit about the constitution or due process. Even ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS are protected by our constitution.

The US Constitution provides certain protections to all individuals within the country's borders, regardless of their immigration status. Some key provisions include:Equal Protection ClauseThe 14th Amendment's Equal Protection Clause prohibits states from denying anyone equal protection under the law. This has been interpreted to apply to immigrants, including those who are undocumented.Due Process ClauseThe 5th Amendment's Due Process Clause ensures that the government cannot deprive anyone of life, liberty, or property without due process. This applies to immigrants facing deportation or other legal proceedings.Fourth Amendment ProtectionsThe Fourth Amendment protects against unreasonable searches and seizures, which applies to all individuals, including immigrants.Access to EducationThe Supreme Court's decision in Plyler v. Doe (1982) established that undocumented immigrant children have the right to a free public education, as denying them access to education would impose a lifetime hardship.Limitations on Government ActionThe Constitution limits government action, ensuring that immigrants are treated fairly and humanely. For example, the government cannot arbitrarily detain or deport individuals without following established procedures. These protections are not necessarily unique to immigrants but are fundamental rights afforded to all individuals within the United States.

I been reporting tire shops and car washes in my city with the ICE tip line here and there

They do follow up on these things eventually and they popped one 5 mins away from me lol

The pro-Hamas kid they detained the other week isn’t very bright. Showing up to some protest and having them film you while basically screaming “hey feds, come get me”. You’re here on a student visa. So study

Here is what I see: I know there are a lot of criminals here illegally. But 95% of what I see is a bunch of very hard working Mexicans just trying to provide for their families.

I am fairly conservative and despise the Democrats.

I want resources and targeted enforcement time spent on the criminals and the ones that didn’t have their detainers honored by hellhole cities after getting arrested sure, but if they happen to come across collaterals I don’t want them just letting it slide either lol.

I agree with worst first like Homan said but eventually everyone let in during Biden’s floodgates needs a quick trip home next

Oops....that was supposed to be 95% not 05%. I don't like Biden....at all (his inflationary policies cost me/my family thousands in food costs) but Trumps crack down is driving labor costs way up. I just had a 2.5k deck done job done that cost me 3k because my contractor had to do the whole thing himself.

Living in a city that's 54 percent Hispanics, I am blessed to have a worker ,a partner ,she's drawing in so many clients ,she works hard as I do. She's so generous ,never have to ask for help, she's right there with more work ethics .A true team ,no gossip no competition, blows me away that her and her family, most from Guadalajara, illegals and many are not,but they stay in their country and tell me stories of life, truly better than us butter face whities

I mean, why not go join them if it sounds so great? Just food for thought

I haven’t ever met someone who was about to smuggle themselves in an avocado truck to get to Guatemala lol

im not necessarily discounting that and I believe you, but some of our more left leaning members here would have a field day with you basically just implying brown people are good for cheap labor 😂

They charge less because most of the money goes back home, bro

I get where you’re coming from trust me, but after a while it turns into a pure matter of weighing it out. Do I want cheap decks and more food trucks in exchange for the other ills from all this circus? No. No I do not
