Immense Soul Stress

Recently,SWIM has started to believe more and more that he/she is in the process of selling his/her soul. The voice in their head tells them the only way to move on in life is to indeed sell their soul. Their mental well being has been deteriorating for the past two years and is beginning to tell him/herself that suicide is the only way out. If they sell their soul they will only be a shell of a human being with no thoughts of their own but with that deal comes infinite money and luxuries. They keep coming back to the question of whether or not it is worth it to become a robot form of a human and live a hellish life with no input as to what happens to them but have all the luxuries a man could ever dream of or if suicide is the better way of progressing. SWIM is not sure if they are morally capable of selling their soul so they think suicide is the only way out. After all, why is it worth it to continue living if "nobody is home" being trapped as a prisoner inside their own mind forever?

SWIM looks forward to responses to this dark reality they have cursed themselves into.

Are we talking hypothetical or is this based on an actual scenario?

Hypothetically - whats the point of money, luxuries if you have no way of enjoying the benefits ?

Reality - I would like to think that I would take the shell of a life with nothing, enjoy the small things that still gave me pleasure (knowing I didn't sell my soul) and I would go start from there. It really depends on the situation - what you mean by shell of a human, no thoughts or soul etc.

Your already seeing that this path is like selling your soul, giving up on your own thoughts - so you already know that there is somebody home, they may be a bit lost at the moment and they may need a bit working on to get them to surface again. Why is it worth to continue living - I'm sure that the person who is lost in this scenario is worth being found

If you are a Christian your soul has been redeemed from slavery to sin by his priceless blood.
'What's more you have treasure in heaven of a kind that eye has not seen or ear has not heard...treasure that can't be counterfeit.
'redeemed' means bought from this devilish trading market you seem to have seen (others have too)..So redeemed by the blood of the Lamb...seek Him..Ask for the peace that passes understanding that he gives his own..keep asking..keep seeking with all your heart.

It seems, that you are on the path to become a dog. But even at work there are people, that are sincere. If you are living in a multicultural environment, you can even learn from them and subsequently can help your surroundings to "wake up".

If you do not have the privilege of being surrounded by heartful people of diverse backgrounds and lifestyles, there is no point in pursuing your path any further. Just leave the country and try your luck there. You can come back (in most cases), if you head problems, anyways. Don't think, that your ever so developed country is more livable compared to the rest of the world ...
