well considering we're all supposed to be movie geeks here, i figured we can all bask in the glory that is imdb. seriously, this is probably (okay, aside from the ubiquotous bluelight) the website i visit most. i'm constantly checking out films that i've just seen, upcoming cast lists, user comments, the trivia - i think it's quite clearly the greatest film resource available in the world (well, my head of cinema at uni might challenge in terms of stored knowledge, but only just ;)).

does anyone else use the site? - since i discovered it i've voted for every film that i can recall seeing (presumably i still missed a bunch from my childhood, but i'd say it's close enough to a full catalogue of what i've seen in my life), and now have a big list of all the films i've rated (yes, i like big lists :)). and the possibility to create links (six degrees of kevin bacon style) is so obvious and so easy on this site too. i guess i'm a bit of nerd, but i love exploring this site...anyone else? :)

<----fellow nerd. It's in the same favorites folder as BL. There have been soooo many good movie suggestions, that I take a day out to read the Arts threads and then surf IMDB.
 
I use it all the time. My bf's brother gave me one of those thick movie reference books for Christmas two years ago and I thought "here's somebody who doesn't know about imdb.com".
 
I visit, but don't post. I read the forums too.

The only thing I don't like is that reviews often contain spoilers without the *CONTAINS SPOILERS* so far it has ruined the surprise of 2 movies which I am yet to watch. Thats my only gripe, but otherwise it's fantastic. Also on a lot of new movies, they are putting in just about anyones name who had anything to do with the movie, instead of just the cast & main production crew. There are lots of idiots who post on it IMO.
 
i use it all the time - it really is excellent.

it has a couple of searches which have saved my sanity on a couple of occasions - you can search for movies with common actors and actors with common movies.

'tis a kick ass site. between apple trailers, imdb and bluelight i waste alot of time on the 'net :\
