Hi all and everyone,

about 2 months into quitting meth and all seems to be going well.
I have only had one slip up in this time about 2 weeks ago but i realized what i was doing and flushed that baggy down the toilet.

I seriously thought quitting meth would be harder than this, but it seems shit easy.
I'm eating better and becoming more healthy and going for walks every day. My friends say my temper has reduced and i can have more intelligent conversations with them.

however my ex has left me completely, and there is absolutely no chance of getting back with her now the police are involved because she was harassing me. but i'm confident that i will find someone better than her!

i have saved so much money from not smoking meth it looks like i'll be able to buy a new washing machine in 6 weeks.

I'm so proud of myself as to how far i have got and how easy it was to do by myself without having to go to rehab.
I must admit that the cravings were the hardest bit to get past, but getting reassured by reading all the advice and tips i got from here on bluelight I must admit Everyone here has helped me get to this point.

Thankyou everyone, if i could give you a hug i would.

You're not done yet, be careful man, 90 days is a very common relapse point since people are getting comfortable and confident again and they start to forget how miserable being addicted was. If you don't go to meetings yet then start, I don't care what you think of NA/AA. Just start going and meeting people, you're at the hard part now which is starting to build a sober life and understand yourself and why you used in the first place. People really don't want to go there but if you don't then what is the point of living anyway? The same types of things will just keep happening. Also something to keep in mind is it's way more common then people would realize to have bi-polar disorder or something similar as a reason for your addiction so think about talking to someone anyway since you need support, anyone does. Good job catching your slip and just be prepared to do it again and do better next time at the minimum.

Congratulations!!
How did you feel the first week? Did you feel like sleeping for 199 hours in a row or was the transition smooth enough for you to maintain your daily routine (job, school, etc)?

Congrats to you. Remain strong. I am on 1mg a day of suboxone for an opiate habit i have battled for 10 years and I am coming off that slowly. I have never tried meth in my life so I do not know what it is like first hand, but with addiction I am sure we share commonalities. I wish you continued success. I find that you really have to prepare yourself mentally and work the mental aspects. The mind is so powerful.

(Removed post that was made before thread was moved over into TDS.
Post crossed the line for TDS, talking about drug use in a glorifying way which was especially not appropriate in this thread. )

congrats, man.

unfortunately this doesn't belong in OD as it's more of a journal post, as you're not asking anything, but i'll ask the TDS mods if they'll accept this over there way. you can maybe use this thread to continually update us with your progress:)
