My Dr. Wants to put me on a medicine called haldol, I look up the medicine online and it sounds intimidating, does any one take this medicine? What are the side effects? Should i just tell the Dr. I don't want to take it? What do I do?

thats haloperidol if i remember correctly , its for when someone is psychotic and for real psychotic

you can tell your doctor you don't want it. he can't force it on you unless you're court ordered to have treatment like me.

I'm on 75mg haldol injectable each month. i honestly don't notice it does anything but back when i took the pills they would make me sleepy and groggy in the mornings.

I took Haldol many years ago. Low dose. It was pretty good, calming. Did give me morning hangover sleepiness. Drank espresso to wake up.
