IM injections

I've read through the IV FAQ a few times now,
but what are the differences between IV and
IM?

IM = intra muscular
IV intravenously (sp?)
Ones in the muscle and the other is in the blood vein.

Thank you for that clarification.
What I meant was: are there any differences
in procedure? I know that to avoid bruising
and soreness you should inject slowly. Are
there other differences or cautions?

Not that I know anything at all on this subject but surely IM is an injection into the muscle and IV into the vein!?

IM is a pretty simple procedure, just stick that needle in there and inject away!
Well....don't stick it TOO far, unless it's depo-provera which requires deep-tissue IM but somehow I doubt you're giving yourself birth control injections

We all know that coke, heroin, meth etc etc can be IVed. Ketamine can be IMed and IVed. Could coke, heroin, meth, etc be IMed too. If so how would this high compare to snorting or IV. Thanks
