Iv been taking 100mg of tramadol every day for the past 4 or 5 months and tomorrow is my last 2 pills and I don't really want to refill and go back to it so I'm preparing to withdrawal and I was wondering if anyone has gone thru this

Well kinda both because i broke my back about a year ago and sometimes my main reason to take them is for recreation cause it seems to give me an energetic feeling especially when smoking weed but it also does help with pain on those bad days

opiate withdrawals suck. I had to get over heroin after a year and a half solid... first time i tried quitting was cold turkey. on vacation. worst experience of my life. cold sweats, restless leg syndrome, anxious as a mother fucker, didnt sleep for like 60 hours. diarrhea all day. took 3 days total to get over it.... im not sure how bad your body will respond to lack of tramadol, but im sure youll have slightly similar results. if you want to quit, then my advice is to man up through the withdrawals, if you need take some seroquel or a benzo to sleep the first two nights, then MAKE SURE YOU FILL UP YOUR MIND WITH OTHER ACTIVITIES HOBBIES, THOUGHTS, you need to force the thought of tramadol out. It was easiest for me to stay off H when i was busy busy busy. i had to hitchhike to san francisco from phoenix az to quit this last time, 4 months ago...for you, 4 or 5 months is not bad, quit now, while the addiction is at its infancy.

Be careful with tramadol withdrawals, as tramadol isn't like your typical opiate, as it also has snri properties. (It is SNRI, right? it's early and im foggy still). I would highly recommend refilling your prescription if you are able to, and then tapering your dose down slowly. If you do this, then when you jump off completely the withdrawals will be much much easier. You weren't taking a very high dose for very very long, but it still will not be fun so if you have the option to taper I would suggest going that route. Good luck.

Yes, like Broken has stated, refill your prescription & taper down.

Scott, oh man it aint good sorry. Pretty much what alcy said. Ive also noticed the 'feeling' after waking up like youve just ran a marathon and your body hurts, no energy, sore legs, sore muscles and joints, the BLINDING headaches, sweats, unable to eat, and thats just the first day.. x2 the second day. Those symtoms wasnt from going cold turkey, that was when once was running out of supply from taking 400mg a day and tried to feed my body only 50mg a day!.

you shouldnt stop suddenly taking tramadol, go see a Dr and explain how much & how long youve been taking it (exagerate) and remind him/her of the SSRI and SNRI properties of this drug and ask for a withdrawal program. that will buy you some time to decide if giving up is for you or find another source.

best of luck
