Hi, I am here because I am going cold turkey off a few year habit.... and I'm scared.
I've visited this place more than once to get info. Today I thought I should begin participating instead of just using you for info and silent annonymous support that you know nothing about.
I am off to buy some immodium in 2 minutes. In hoping I get the results some of you have had. My eyes are like tiny little waterfalls and, well, other things are mimicking waterfalls as well.... hence the immodium.
Also, is the joint in the middle of the leg a knee/patella? That was my random question and it told me I was wrong.

Welcome to Bluelight :)

Best of luck to you on going CT.. I've done it a couple times and it can be rough.. I found it best to leave a TV on playing onstop movies and such to distract you

and yes, The knee joins the thigh with the leg and consists of two joints: one between the femur and tibia (tibiofemoral joint), and one between the femur and patella (patellofemoral joint).

Thank you.... I've don't this a few times and it always scares me.
I didn't think they were looking for such a specific answer. Most times my responses are too specific, but though the random question would allow knee to be specific enough, lol. I kept refreshing until it took an answer.
Thanks again for saying something.

welcome to bluelight!

i don't know if you know the deal with "greenlighters" but it's just what new members are called. once you have made 50 posts, you'll become a "bluelighter".
somebody pocketed my green lighter ata party last weekend (that's actually true) ;)

good luck with the detox - not that it has anything to do with luck - apart from the severity of it, i guess.
i've kicked more times than i care to remember, and sometimes i think you just have to bunker down and see it though - like a big storm that makes you feel sick, crazy and highly emotional.
you can do it!

there are heaps of great tips on here about ways to relieve withdrawal symptoms - but i hope you've seen the warnings about taking too much immodium/loperamide?
it is dangerous stuff in high doses and can cause heart arrhythmia - so please don't "megadose" trying to eliminate withdrawals.

Thank you, I read everything I could find on immodium. I'm keeping it at a minimum. I took a different approach and tapered my dilaudid usage a bit more. It's rough, and I keep telling myself I want to stop but, as you know, it is difficult.
