I'm a "glass half-empty" wang. =(

I also want to add that i'm not an unhappy person.
I'm excessively cheery.
=D
I just seem to have issues reguarding things that 'could' be, not those that 'are'.
For instance, just bought a new car.
Good car (I think so anyway :)), just needs some work.
Instead of saying "Yay, I finally have a car to call my own" it's "Shit, I have shot synchos, need a new clutch, have blad tyres (hehe =D)".
I just wanted to note this just so everyone didn't think the non-existant entity of me was a complete arsehole.
=D

Lostpunk - True true, its hard to draw that line between ignoring a problem or simply not getting hung up on something you can't change. I am all in favour of being open minded and knowing of these problems, their causes and possible solutions however its quite probable for people to get hung up on the negativity of it all. For example, the more i read about the US foreign policies that have been occuring the more disenchanted with the world i become. I DO become frustrated and annoyed but then i feel its necessary to re-focus back into my own sphere and place attention on those issues that are immediately important to me.

Theres a time and a place for everything.

Theres a difference between thinking positively and being ignorantly happy and cheerful. Those people give me the shits.

Killing_time: I think thats a good attitude to have with your car actually. Seems like your looking at how to improve it, what could be done to it to make it live up to your standards of a 'good car'... good luck! BLAD tyres are better than bald tires though ;)

Yeah, those Blad tyres do get to me quite a bit =D
But I fear my 'constructive criticism' goes beyond things I can change (again, not just the blad tyres... [i'm sorry, but that was exceptionally funny Adikkal]).
Everything and everyone is up for criticism in my little world.
I think it's not neccessarily good to look at things as if everything is perfect, as Adikkal said (see, you give me a compliment and all of a sudden i'm quoting you left, right and centre =D), that would only be possible if we lived in a wonderful utopian society where the drugs were free. :)
So yeah... Still iffy about my feelings on, well, everything.
=D

And more to the point I don't care, just as long as the glass isn't empty...

hehe yeah I think this is probably more true for me than my previous answer.

If there are more people in the world currently starving to death than there are people living healthy balanced lives, how can the good outweigh the bad?

No offence, and this is not a personal attack, but to me people who see every cloud having a silver lining obviously can not see the clouds because they have their heads firmly buried in the sand.

I always see the clouds mate but there in psycadelic colour and are in shapes of bunnies and things =D

I realise of all the bad in the world like people starving, war torn countries, political issues that cause no freedom, rapes and muders....i'm not stupid ;)

I try and help with what i can but at the same time i can't dwell on all these bad things because there is only so much i can do to help and i'm concentrating on (like addikal said) MY life and the beauty and happiness within that and what i see in MY section of the world and through my perspective :)

choose colour, choose beauty, choose life ;) =D

Don't get me wrong I'm not inclined to mope around bitching about how terrible the world is (well not 100% of the time :)). I'm generally a cheerful person and I find when everything gets to me a nice walk in a local national park or local scrub (which seems to be increasingly lost in favour of housing estates) cheers me up.
