I've searched extensively on this website and on the internet and while I've gotten some mixed answers, I'm still very much unsure. I have been sick the past week or so (sinus infection with a mild fever). I've been taking lots of vitamins, resting, and drinking lots of fluids to try to help out my body as much as possible. The problem is, I'm suppose to go see two huge house artists tomorrow. And as you probably guessed, I was planning on rolling. Now I realize that being sick and taking MDMA isn't the best idea, but I haven't rolled in a LONG time so hopefully my brain is in alright shape (however I am very experienced with MDMA). One of the main things I was worried about was the fever. It isn't a bad fever and when I took my temperature yesterday it was 98.6 (it was in the morning, and usually they get a little worse at night). So my question is, how bad is taking MDMA with a mild fever? Obviously it's going to be pretty hot in the venue also.

Also, another question I had was is it possible to take something (such as Ibuprofen or Tylenol) in order to help reduce the fever while on MDMA. Is it dangerous to take Ibuprofen in a scenario such as this? From what I've read it seems there are no interactions between Ibuprofen(its a pretty benign drug) and MDMA but would it even be effective?

On a side note, I was curious about Ibuprofen's ability to bring down fevers directly from the MDMA itself. Could it be helpful in order to prevent neurotoxicity caused by high internal temperatures from taking MDMA? I would ask the same question about Tylenol but it is pretty taxing on the liver and the last thing you need while rolling is more stress on your body.

Thanks a lot
Harm Reduction FTW

Well if its something serious, like bad infection thats been around for a while, seeing as mdma lowers your immune system, its probably not a good idea.
However,

I once had a cold for a couple of days, i kept its severity down by drinking hot lemon and honey drinks twice a day, but i did roll on the 3rd day (it was kinda going) but then when the mdma wore off, hey presto my cold was gone completely 100% left me Lol

if your temperature was 98.6 then u don't have a fever....thats normal temperature lol so i'd say if yesterday was normal and today was normal then its safe to say the fever is gone. but if you have a fever the day of i wouldnt roll. and im not sure about advil bringing your temperature down while you're rolling but there are no known interactions between the two that i can find and im sure millions of times ppl have taken it the day of rolling. hope that helps.

I once had a infection in the eye and took MDMA, it extended the period the infection lasted time by 3 weeks. Yes, stupid, I know, was a newbie then. Parties will come and go. Even the great ones. You only have one body :).

No great problems with this one - how to you feel physically? If your feeling weak / tired then dancing around for 12hours is going to leave you feeling like shit when you come down.

I would personally skip the pain meds and just take the MDMA - you know that once it kicks in your going to be feeling great anyway and as your temperature isn't high anyway it seems pointless.

Just remember to stay hydrated.

Depends how bad you are feeling, the sleep deprivation, lack of appetite and reduced immunesystem is a bad idea when you are ill.

My question is, what is causing your fever. All kinds of things can cause an elevated temperature. If you sinusitis is bad enough to cause your temperature to be raised I think it's not a good idea to roll.
I suggest putting off your decision until the day of the concert. If you've been free of a temperature for two days then, you'll probably be all right.
I've just been looking up ibuprofen. It seems that the antipyretic (anti-fever) action is not entirely understood. That said I've combined ibuprofen with mdma before now without noticeable side-effects.
