Illict Drugs Related Book Review

Anyone read this? What do you think of it? I read it, and it's extremely detailed and combined with a wicked sense of humor that Stike uses (LOL @ SWINS). Some said that Strike was abit arrogant, but coming from The Hive, I would say most of the methods shoud be very pratical and workable. Oh, I forgot to mention, this book is about making MDMA. I am abit disappointed though, that most of the methods are about P2P and making MDMA, and nothing about systhesises of other drugs...like the RP/I reduction method for meth! I appreciate the chapter 'Build From Scratch', where you have no ingredients in hand and build all the nesscary ingredients for perscuors from scratch....

PhIKal and ThIkal: I didn't read the 2 books, but it was highly recommeded, but why would I buy it when there's an online version of it at Erowid?
Uncle Fester's Secerts of Methamptheamine Manufacture: I was going to buy this book, until I saw the reviews by 2 highly respected chemists...The methods are wrong, the details are stupid, the title is just a gimmick to attract people to buy the book...but I reckon I will buy it soon, just for the heck of it. I heard there was even a method there for a large scale manufacture of meth.
I would post the reviews here for this book if someone wanted it.

Oh, and I forgot to add...
You know the glossy, skinny series of books, just plainly named 'Cocaine' or 'Ectasy'? I can't remember the publisher, but I got them from my school library. I enjoyed them, and I have read 'Cocaine', 'Ectasy' and 'Heroin' in the series. They were written by journlists/reporters, so I find them unbiased, just straight reported facts, history, and use, and I could see lots of research have been done. I enjoyed the glossy photographs too. I like these books, they are not chunky, they are slim and nicely designed and there's an index too. I always like glossy books, ha. They are also very up to date, published in the last year or so. The books inculde History, Use, Effects...most of the things you want to know about the drug. Very well classified and an enjoyable read, not the boring old drone that drug-related books usually have...
Ah yes, I checekd up the published, it's Carlton books. This series are nice to collect and handy to have around...recommended.
 
I don't believe Shulgin allowed the story halves of PiHKAL/TiHKAL to appear on the net, so there's the reason to buy them.
 
Good point, Ayrios...But I'm a poor student working in a cafe, and money just doesn't spill from the sky for me...As selfish as it is, it's the free second part that I am more interested in... ;)
 
Understandable, that's probably the half that appeals to most people here :P
