My girlfriend and I have been IVing Oxycontin for about 4-5 months now. We usually bang an 80 at a time. Weve had no major problems except for the minor scars and small bumps on the injetction site, until recently. My girlfriend has been throwing up for 3 days now and cant keep anything down. We still are shooting the damn pills, at first I thought the reason why she was sick was dopes-sick. Thats obviously not the problem. Just wondering if anybody knows what this could possible be from? Im hoping nothing serious is happening.(hepatitis)

Vomiting is a sign that something is seriously wrong. Not necessarily hepatitis, but you should ALWAYS consider continuous vomiting (and/or bleeding) as a sign that your body is about to give up somewhere. I'd go to a hospital immediately.
And no, it doesn't "sound" like a bacterial infection. It "sounds" like any of the thousand and one ailments that cause continuous vomiting.
Do not self-medicate. Seek medical care immediately.
Shooting pills as you probably know is very very very very risky business. You've had this coming sooner or later. Let's hope this will just be a wake-up call and no one gets seriously hurt.

Sorry to say but sounds like blood poisening or heb b or even worse c, throwing up uncontrollabel is very dangerous seek medicial attention immeditaly, if it is hep they catch it quick they can pretty much get control of it or posslbly cure it, do you share needles between eachother?If you want conjecture, sweet sweet uninformed conjecture:

No one can tell but a doctor after having checked her up.She woke up this morning feeling better, ready to eat. She wanted me to make her a sandwich. She shot an 80, and instantly felt sick again. She has been throwing up again all day, everything she eats(including the sandwich!) I dont know what to do. She doesnt want to go to the doctor. Afraid of what he/she may think her being an IV drug user. We both have been doing drugs for years, but never with needles. We both tried IV oxy for the first time together, and yes we have shared needles in the past, but no often. We usually pick up a ten pack and we're set. Im worried and scared for whats happening. Why the fuck would you CONTINUE to IV a PILL AFTER YOU SEE YOU HAVE CLEARLY HURT YOURSELF when you can JUST AS EASILY take it orally and not feel withdrawals???

hospital. now dude. You need to do this for your girlfriend's health. Just call the hospital and then get in the car (or on the bus) and go to the hospital.
If you can't drive and she gets worse then please call an ambulance.
Stop shooting OCs...its really horrible for your veins. just crush them and swallow them in water to keep away WDs for a little bit while you deal with this possibly life-threatening situation.

and if it makes you feel any better....think of all those humiliated individuals who had to go to the ER with various objects (furry and otherwise) stuck up their rectum.I dont know if anyone gives a shit or not, but I took my girlfriend yesterday to the ER. They gave her an IV to replenish her fluids and something in the IV for nausea. Ran numberous blood tests, alos test for Heps, HIV, and other STIs, as well as pregnancy. She was giving a clean bill of health, and couldnt give us a straight answer on why she was sick. After they gave her the fluids she felt like a million bucks and we went on our way. We also have decided to stop IV oxycontin. Too expensive. I meet a puerto rican a few streets away that got some nice bags of dope. And in "nice" and mean big and I would say pretty pure for $15. I have never gotten an intensive of an oxycontin rush from any dope but o well, it doesnt kill my wallet.coryjoy, I'm a Rn and do oxi too. I haven't worked in years as I have spinal bifita and found it to hard to keep up, but did well educational wise. I also do about 80mg a day and maybe more. I weigh about 118 pounds. and am small for my height. The only side affect I get if I do to much is double vission and I louse my voise. I have a question. Is it possible your girl might be pregnet? If she is, oxi will make her sick, even if its oral use. It can me a rough on the system a ms cottin. Both these durgs can be crushed and I.V'd, or taken oral and others too, but can be rough if the belly is sick. To keep her from with drawls, get some valium or adivan, take 4mg of adivan or 5 mg of valium for a week, then back off the drugs. This will keep with drawls very limited. And if she is pregnet, she needs to get off them. If not, it still might be that she has to much in her system, and she needs to back off. Its easy to get carried away with oxi. I know. I'v done over 300-500mg in one day before. And you are so gone, you just keep going, because you've lost control. Hope this helps.coryjoy, glad to here your girl is ok. If you really want oxi, its easy to get a nerologest to give them to you. Back pain is the number one reason they give them. It helps with bone pain. And you can fake back pain if you know what to look up. Look up your dx on the web before you go to a doc. make sure you know your systems. This way they will know if your for real. A pain clinic will not give narcotics to new patients unless they have been on them from other doc's. So don't go there first. But be careful with H. It can be unpure, and you can die from just one wrong dose. To be honest, I'm old enough to not even know how to get street drugs, so I just use my doc. But like I said before, I do have spinal bifita acculta, and the pain is pretty bad, so he puts me on more drugs than I really want. I am setting on f---- pharmacy at my house and I don't even take most of it. I hide it, so my hubby thinks I'm a good girl and takes my meds like I'm supposed to. Then when friends need something to calm them down I just give them away. I'v never sold them to anyone. I have insurance to pay for most of it, so If I feel they really need it, I give them just a few at a time and encourgage them to see a doc too. Most don't. But being a nurse, I always think of the legal part of it.

Maybe I'm caught up in semantics, but once you IV it, doesn't it cease to be a -'contin' (continuous / extended release) and become a regular oxycodone instant release?
