If Vyvanse is simply taken with digestive enzymes?

I have been reading all about people dissolving Vyvanse (lisdexamphetamine) and digestive enzymes (that contain trypsin) into alakaline water to break down the lisdex into d-amph. According to the several posts I've read on it, it works just fine.

So I was curious. If you just simply take 1-2 OTC pills of digestive enzymes (w/ trypsin) with your Vyvanse, wouldnt that work? Seems the enzymes would just be more prominent in your stomach, converting more of the lisdex into d-amph than it would without taking the enzymes. I was wondering if anyone had any experience on this. This is for research purposes only.
Thank you.

It won't work.

Trypsin and other digestive enzymes do not hydrolyze lisdexamphetamine, this is just a "myth" that got started online by 1-2 posters that claimed they experiences positive effects with this.

Please see my post here which has a bit more of an explanation + links to a reference.

so...

So then if one were to extract their blood and let the lisdex soak in it, it will convert it to d-AMPHETAMINE?

^Please don't drain your blood and then try to use it to hydrolyze your vyvanse 8)

Its an amide, so you can hydrolyze it under any sufficiently acidic or basic conditions. If you read the patent, IIRC they said they got something like ~50% conversion after a day in conc. HCl. A few days stirred in acid or base should do the trick.

So, empty vyvanse into 1-2 oz of water, add teaspoon of vinegar, stir occasionally for 48 hrs. This will yield d amph?

1. Go to a hardware store and buy concentrated muriatic acid / hydrochloric acid "for pools". Careful, this will eat lots of shit including humans and it puts off acid fumes.
2. Get a Pyrex glass beaker.
3. Add your lisdexamphetamine (pref extracted) and cover with conc HCl. Heat gently with swirling on a hotplate in a fume hood or leave cold and covered for several hrs
4. Pull off the water and HCl under vaccum (or evaporate over hotplate) in a fume hood
5. Lysine HCl and dextroamphetamine Hcl remain

and how does one go about it if they do not have access to a fume hood?
Well with ghetto chemistry... a open window and a fan blowing outside right next to it might suffice.

I'd be interested if yeast has any sort of pepidase activity for this. I guess throwing some bakers yeast, some sugar, warm water, and a Vyvanse in a warm dark place and waiting a while would be a good way of testing it... Ghetto bioreactor FTW!

I would actually hydrolyze this stuff in base (KOH), if I had a choice.... HCl will work but I would guess its more likely to turn the compound into a black tar. That being said... any time you chuck an organic compound into a strong acid or base soln, you run the risk of making unusable black stuff. It may be necessary to try some different reagents at diff. concentrations, and see which ones play the nicest with the lisdex.

Hmmm, I was thinking that might actually be a good thing. If you sep funneled the stuff with CH2Cl2 or something like that, I bet the lysine would stay in the water layer pretty well because of the ionized carboxylate (definitely a guess on my part, it has a lot of non-polar surface area as well)... and the amp base would of course come out in the organic layer. Then you could just proceed to make it back into whatever salt you want, and obtain a product that's largely free of lysine.

^Probably because it lasts so long; being subject to enzyme kinetics to convert to an active form is slow and annoying, and rather pointless in the case of amphetamine (vyvanse has to be the most half-assed attempt to keep an old drug under patent that I've ever seen, but that's neither here nor there...). The in vitro conversion of lisdexamp to d-amp is interesting from both academic and recreational perspectives, hence why its a topic of discussion here in ADD.
