what do you say to some one that means the world to you?
how do you let them know that what holds you together mentally is the friendship the two of you share?
so for you i write this.
hoping that one day i can put into place and return all you do for me... love kel.


the hours we spend
wrapped i each other arms.
your comforting hugs
your warm friendly smile.

the impact you have on all,
if only you could see
it seems you are contagious.
like an film that all must know and see.

i love you.
dont we all?
your sedative voice
your friendly flirting.

when around you
my world seems to stop.
everyone that knows you
wants to keep you for themselves all wrapped up in thier own lil box.

do you value me
as much as i value you?
i hope to you
i am more than just words.

i am not a poet.
certianlly not your dream come true
but i am what i want to be
and i am your friend.

i tried this morning
to find the words.
to tell you that i care for you,
to let you know you are specail.

yet i opened my mouth
and nothing came out.
i cannot express in writting either
all i want to say.

except thank you.
thank you for your kindness.
thank you for your friendship.
thank you for your honesty.

thank you for the early morning jabs in the ribs.
thank you for holding me when i sleep crying.
thank you for your sincerity.
thank you for your warmth.

thank you for all the times you have let me cry.
sat me on your bed
given me a blanket under which to hide.

isnt it amazing what brought us together
has only managed to make us stronger.

i wish i could go on just to let you know
how deeply i care for you.
instead you let me show.

the bond that we have
nothing and no one can sever.
if you love in return
we are destined to be friends forever.

note:this was TOTALLY different to what i wanted to write. when i sat down here i actually had something totally different in my head to write out. but this is worth it. it is an un edited copy and may be patchy and un finshed in some places, but i like it and hope it gets through what i want it to.

i love it. i cant count how many times i've felt like that. I love when i just start writing and end up with something completley different than what i expected. its had some great results.

wow thats awsome, my ex broke up with recently and she thinks and wants to be my friend but she only shows me with words. When ever Im sad and let her know how she hurts me all she says is "I love you" or "I care about you" but other than that she hasnt time to ever hang out or do anything with me. All I could want was to know she valued me but how she treats me made the hope fade away fast. This poem was well written and I like it alot. I am in same boat as you, except i think mine is worse and feel we wnt ever be friends, but dont worry in the end everything will work out exactly as its supposed to, and im sure you will be in each others lives for ever

this person isnt an x. hes someone i am very close to and love dearly. i struggled to find what i wanted to say this morning and literally opened my mouth, then shut it again. even now i sit here re-read what i posted and it still doesnt even begin to say what i want it to. hes specail and i love him dearly. i just want him to know that when he reads this and even if what i wrote doesnt make sense i hope it at least puts a smile on his face and touches him.
