idk about tramadol

First and foremost I'm 19 years old, 6 feet tall, around 170 pounds weight. A family member of mine was recently prescribed 15 50mg tramadol pills for moderate pain relief. I smoke weed every day and love it, I also drink seldomly but still enjoy doing so, and once in a blue moon I go on a little trip(12 total, mainly shrooms and some acid) edit: forgot to mention my two great experiences with molly or pure mdma . So my curiosity was peaked about opiates(and i know tramadol is synthetic or w/e) I have ZERO tolerance for any pill because the only time I've had any pills was when I got vicodin for my wisdom teeth and i only took one and that was about 3 years ago. But back to my experience(or rather lack there of) I snagged 4 tramadols and proceeded to chew and swallow two followed instantly by just swallowing the other 2 whole. After the ingestion my trip ends because I didn't feel one bit different the whole night, 4 hours after ingestion with still no affects at all I said fuck it and got really baked. The reason I'm posting this is because after doing some extensive research on tramadol prior to taking it I was under the assumption that it was a decent high and rivals vicodin or hydros, but being a person who has absolutely no tolerance I'm flabbergasted by the fact that I didn't feel anything at all. I feel as though it can only mean ppl who say it fucks them up are either placeboed out or just bullshiting? lemme get some input on this because I'm truly confused

i already posted the question in basics but I just wanted to throw in my two cents on tramadol by including my "trip", my two cents being of course that tramadol is bullshit and doesnt do anything. I'm hoping someone in either trip report or basic can give some explanation because as far as I'm concerned tramadol doesnt do anything
 
tramadol is one of the weakest opait highs out there and whoever told you there better than hydro is talking crap!!

i used to take 500mg of tramadol when i didnt have any dope and i was still withdrawing hard. they do get you a slight high but IMO you get more high off a co-codomal CWE.

Tramadol isn't great by any stretch of the imagination, but it's still odd you felt nothing at all off 300 mgs. I certainly would have, and I have a little bit of opiod tolerance. You didn't miss much, they aren't very recreactional even at unsafe doses, IMO.
 
I never had a problem with them back when I used to use them and I was first getting into opiates. Back then all I would need was 150mg and I was feeling pretty nice for just about the whole day. They aren't by any means better than Vicodin, but for me at least, weren't bad at all at the time.

But hey, to each their own.
 
Different people will have different experiences, especially with such a weak drug.

Remember, 400mg or more in a day can cause seizures.
 
Opiates, or opioids in the case of tramadol can have a fairly subtle effect when you first try them. Especially if you aren't in the right mind set, or don't even know what type of a high to expect.

Combine that with the fact tramadol is one of the weakest there is, and I would say a fair number of people would agree with you that it's not all that recreational.

For whatever reason with tramadol it seems to be either love it, or hate it.

Please don't say things like that, your metabolism might be very different from that of other people. While I don't see myself as a IV opioid user I have some limited experience with IV opioids, namely hydromorphone and piritramide. These two were heavenly and the only thing that could ever surpass oral Tramadol for me!!

Any other opioids, namely poppy tea, rectal/oral/intranasal oxycodone, rectal/oral/intranasal hydromorphone, oral codeine, oral hydrocodone, oral morphine do NOT EVEN COME CLOSE to the foreverlasting state of bliss Tramadol puts me in. It seems to be a question of metabolism mostly, but I'm doing some other things that might help the experience... These are:

-A lot of grapefruit juice throughout the day of ingestion
-30mg Dextrometorphan 1h prior to ingestion
-Removing the XR crap by increasing surface area (crushing up) and then applying heat
-Diphenhydramine at 25/50mg sometime on the comeup

Not sure which ones of these really work, since I've rarely tried them isolated from one another, but whenever I do all these things the experience definitely seems enhanced in strength and duration.

EDIT: There are a few other people on this site who get the benefits of tramadol that I am getting while MOST do NOT! One user claims the only thing he prefers over Tramadol is Heroin.
 
Tramadol works for some, but not for others. Why?, because of a specific liver enzyme that is not produced by everyone. For those who do produce it tramadol can/does rival hydrocodone. For those who do not produce this enzyme tramadol would not do much, or could cause nausea, and other undesirable side effects.

Tramadol works for me and I prefer it over hydro/oxy as the effects are longer lasting and not as spacey

Folks should remember that everyones body chemistry plays a big role in how drugs affect them. Because a drug doesn't work for one doesn't mean that drug is shit for everyone else.

When tramadol does work it can be amazing!

I've tried high doses of both, and personally, I like Tramadol better. Honestly, Tramadol is tied with OC and Suboxone. My friend also says the same thing.

I'm pretty sure Tramadol affects everyone differently so some people may love it and others may hate it...
