Iditarod XXXVIII -- The Last Great Race on Earth

Anyone else following the race? Mushing is really the only sport that interests me, and this is its Superbowl.

I'm thinking of adopting a retired dog after the race.

i've seen it on the discovery channel, looks pretty cool. mushing just isn't a real big sport down here in the south lol.

i'd love to do it for the shits n giggles though.

I saw Discovery Channel's documentary on the 2008 race, if that's the one you mean. The team that won that year, Lance Mackey's team, is out front again as they pulled out of the 4th checkpoint. If they win, it will be for the 5th year strait. Wow!

I'm pulling for Dee Dee Jonrowe's team. Remember the woman that always wore pink and had all the pink harnesses? Her.

Yeah, I'd love to run the trail, too, although I'm not interested in racing. I'd rather take a month on the trail and really enjoy the ride than to wear myself and my dogs out doing it in 10 days or so.
