her 3 years,
wet through tears,
of mistaken understanding,
how demanding,
must it be when youre 3,
misunderstanding,
everything but youre free,
when youre 3,
it s like walking up the stairs,
and you feel that something behind you,
and you run but that feeling is,
still inside you,
when you reach the top,
stop,
look around you,
it sounds true,
but in your teenage years,
these thoughts escape you,
you face a more frightening enemy than the shadows,
its sad though,
how fear sticks inside,
changing form,
like wind turns to the storm,
a car cruising happily,
makes use of the horn,
scrappily
piece ing together a f ew w or ds,
its my nerves you see,
theyve been jittereee
Since i ran up the stairs,
when I was three,
but enough about me,
the little girl wakes up in the night,
a night fright,
3 years old,
too young to be told,
looks up at her brother,
with the look of her mother,
before: a scream,
i mean,
a bad dream,
so lying in her bed,
she sniffs and says,
"I cant make good dreams come to my head"
Then she smiled...
