i write poetry don't you know

kind of obvious what this one is about...i wrote it in Goa years ago...i wrote it about someone i met in Goa years prior...who i then came back with...and then...well ..can you guess??

with solitude your only friend
it shares your secrets, and your sins
the world has darkened through the eyes
from which you seek your scarlet dreams
so welcomed by your out-stretched arms
which bare your self destructive tracks
extended by the weakest will
the path you burn
leaves no way back
this liquid gold that fills your veins
erases all you left behind
yet still you yearn for days gone by
such empty hopes to fill your mind
your choice of poison blinds you
to the scattered ash of all you've lost
for what you cook upon your spoon
tranquility
.....with hidden costs
you've sold your soul
now close your eyes
you care for only what you crave
the devil comes in many forms
now watch your demon dig your grave

Goa is one of my favourite places. Whereabouts in Goa have you been?
mostly Baga and Calangute to stay but would party at Arambol and oh, the place with the market that just can't think of right now...oh and sorry bout the surname, point taken......i also went to palolem and some places mid india with big rocks and bang lassi's....what bout you mel? did ya ever chill out at Laxmans for a Shiva? or know Cecil and Sixpack (Deepak) or Francis?

I used to love Palolem so much, but man...it has fucken changed. There is a quiet little beach next to it called Patnem that has always been my #1.

Baga and Calangute are cool, but super touristy and tons of cops. I hate cops. Arambol is fun...good for a surf.

Anjuna is where the market is and Anjuna is awesome.

I've never been to Laxmans and I don't know those people unfortunately. I did spend like 10 days in Goa with the manager of The Prodigy once...that guy is fucking insane and it made for very interesting times.

Where in mid India did you go???

I'd been trying to think of the name yesterday, but it just popped into my head...i went to Hampi, that place is awesome...i remember i street seller catching off guard trying to get me to sell some of his shit and saying 'Asda price i give you asda price' (i hadn't heard this since tennerife and there it always made me want to question it but never did but this time..) i tell the seller that Asda is a supermarket in the UK and he comes back with 'CHEAPER THAN FUCKING TESCO!' i thought that was brilliant.....the closest i knowingly got to fame out there was knowing a roadie from Hawkwind called Bob who was (or seemed to me at the time) really old and was always hanging out with a model like tall young thing.....yeah last i was in Goa it was turning real touristy...when i first went for a 2 week hol i loved it so much i came back alone on a one way ticket for 3 months....3 months after the hold...and in that 3 months dirt tracks had turned into roads....i bet its almost unregognisable to how i remember it.
